INCIDENT: QA DRUG TASK FORCE OPERATION

DATE / TIME: 01/27/2012 @ 0330 Hours

ARREST: See Narrative

NARRATIVE: Early this morning QUADTF served a knock and announce search warrant at 104 Little Creek Court in Chester, QA Co., MD. The entry was conducted by the QA Co. Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team without incident. During the search the following was located and seized:

Two marijuana plants approximately 4 inches in height Various forms of CDS paraphernalia, 1.5 grams of marijuana, 1.2 grams (4 bags) of cocaine, two .22 caliber rifles, $164.00 in cash and two cell phones.

The below listed individuals were arrested and charged with the following:

Fulton Earl Laws (58) of 104 Little Creek Court, Chester, MD 21619

Charges: Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana; Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Possession of Cocaine

Calvin Purnell Stowers Jr. (40) of 104 Little Creek Court, Chester, MD 21619

Charges: Possession w/intent to distribute Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia

A juvenile will also be referred to DSS for Possession of marjuana and Possession of CDS paraphernalia

Laws has prior arrests for Possession of Marjuana and CDS paraphernalia. Stowers has prior arrests for Possession Not Marijuana, Assault 2nd degree and resisting arrest. According to Maryland Judiciary Case Search Laws was held on a $5000 and Stowers was released on his personal recognizance.

INCIDENT: Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME: (Reported) 01/20/2012 @ 1105 Hours

LOCATION: 100 Block of Dundee Ave., Chester

VICTIM: Rita Gaffney of Chester

NARRATIVE: Victim reported finding her car had been rummaged thru during the night. Missing from the vehicle was a Magellon Roadmate GPS and a silver necklace with 4 charms. No damage was done to the car and the loss was estimated at $350.

DATE / TIME: Reported 01/20/2012 @ 1630 Hours

LOCATION: 300 Block of Dorchester Road, Stevensville

VICTIM: Angelina M. Alessi of Stevensville

NARRATIVE: Victim reported she had placed her 1995 BMW 325i in the front lawn just off of the driveway as she was selling the car and wanted to make it more visable to potential buyers. Three hours later she returned to the car and found the passenger door glass shattered. Damage was estimated at $800.

INCIDENT: Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME: 01/20/2012 @ 2021 Hours

LOCATION: Pinder Hill Road, Church Hill

VICTIM: Female (41) of Church Hill

ARREST: Femal;e (17) of Church Hill

CHARGES: Assault

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the residence for a domestic between a mother and daughter. Investigation indicated that the two were arguing over the TV and the juvenile then pushed the mother into a chair, bit her, kicked her and slammed her into a wall hard enough to cause damage to the drywall. The juvenile female was taken into custody and referred to Juvenile services. She was later released to another family member.

INCIDENT: MDOP / Attempted Burglary

DATE / TIME: 01/21/2012 @ 0700 Hours

LOCATION: 401 Hess Road, Grasonville

VICTIM: KLS Food Express

NARRATIVE: Store Manager Ghulam Murtaza reported finding the front door of the business broken out on his arrival. No entry appeared to have been made as nothing was reported to be missing. The alarm may have caused the suspect(s) to flee. The damage occurred sometime between 2200 hours and 0700 hours. Damage was estimated at $500.

INCIDENT: Fight / Theft

DATE / TIME: 01/22/2012 @ 0151 Hours

LOCATION: 6520 Church Hill Road, Chestertown (Howard’s Bar)

VICTIM: Ami Dill of Chestertown

ARREST: Pending

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to Howards for a fight in progress. On arrival the fight had ended, however both subjects were still on the scene. Ms. Dill reported that a male subject had taken her wallet as she paid for drinks and when confronted the male denied having it. When attempts were made to search the suspect and fight began with the male subject ending up telling Ms. Dill that he had thrown the wallet outside the bar and then showed her where. Charges are pending.

LOCATION: 5600 Block of Longpoint Road, Grasonville

VICTIM: Patrick A. Horton of Grasonville

NARRATIVE: Victim reported finding the two rear tires on his 1985 Caprice slashed. Victim also advised that the damage had occurred during the night. Damage was estimated at $280.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported the two rear tires of his Honda Civic to be slashed while parked in his driveway overnight. Damage was estimated at $240.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency

DATE / TIME: 01/23/2012 @ 1552 Hours

LOCATION: QA Sheriff’s Headquarters Parking Lot

VICTIM: Male (22) of Centreville

NARRATIVE: Dfc. Watts was sitting in her patrol car at Headquarters when a male subject ran up to the car and struck the window with his hand. Watts noted the subject had appearent issues and the subject stated he was hearing voices and that he was thinking of harming himself. The male was transported to Chester River Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT: Idenity Theft

DATE / TIME: (Reported) 01/23/2012 @ 1723 Hours

LOCATION: Stevensville

VICTIM: Female (31) of Stevensville

NARRATIVE: Victim reported she had received a call advising her that her personal information was posted on a public internet site, including full name, social security number, and account numbers. She has also received numerous pieces of mail where attempts were made to transfer money and attempts to open credit card accounts. The victim has contacted various agencies including the credit bureaus, Social Security Administration, banks and the Federal Trade Commission as well as an ID TRheft Affidavit to attempt to prtotect her information.

INCIDENT: Unattended Death

DATE / TIME: 01/23/2012 @ 1818 Hours

LOCATION: Wye Knot Court, Queenstown

VICTIM: Harry H. Cook Jr. (53) of Queenstown

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the residence after the victim was located and appeared to have a self-inflicted fatal wound. Investigation did not indicated any foul play.

LOCATION: Long Point Road, Grasonville

VICTIM: Female (52) of Grasonville

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to location in reference to a report of an intoxicated female who had attempted to harm herself. The woman was transported by Patrol Car to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT: Theft

DATE / TIME: Reported 01/24/2012 @ 0944 Hours

LOCATION: 351 Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville

VICTIM: John A. Steinbruck of Grasonville

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that sometime between the 20th and 24th someone had stolen his boat that was parked in the business park. The boat was described as a Boston Whaler 200 Dauntless with a Mercury Outboard on a Venture trailer. A John Deere Z-Track mower was also missing. The items were valued at $64,000.
