INCIDENT: Recovered Property

LOCATION: Prospect Bay Community, Grasonville

VICTIM: William R. Finlay of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE: Victim reported being at a Kent Narrows bar on 11/17 and his iPhone was taken. The victim was able to track his phone to a residence in Prospect Bay. A deputy took the information and made contact with the residence. A subject there was cooperative and stated he had found the iPhone the night before on the floor, was unable to locate the owner and took the phone home. The iPhone was returned to the owner with no charges placed.

INCIDENT: Theft

DATE / TIME: 11/18/2012 @ 1723 Hours

LOCATION: 305 Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown

VICTIM: Bath & Body Works

 

NARRATIVE: Store Manager reported observing two female shoplifting items and contacted mall security. When security arrived, one of the females paid for a few items and the two left. The two females, described as middle aged African American with a Haitian type accent walked across RT50 to a waiting car at a convenience store. Video showed the females placing items in a brown paper bag with an estimated value of $50.

INCIDENT: Stolen Tag

LOCATION: 200 Block of Larch Place, Stevensville

VICTIM: Renee A. Bell of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE: Victim reported the theft of a rear tag (MNY 580) from a family members vehicle. Nothing was indicated that the tag was loose or damaged and was secured on the car.

LOCATION: 5900 Block of Church Hill Road, Chestertown

VICTIM: Lori J. Sallet of Centreville

 

NARRATIVE: Victim reported discovering 25 feet of copper wiring missing from an irrigation system on her property. Victim was unable to advise an approximate time frame the system was damaged. The theft was estimated at $750.

LOCATION: Spring Road / Pine Tree Road, Millington

VICTIM: Choptank Electric

ARREST: Pending

CHARGE: Theft & Tampering with Electric Equipment

 

NARRATIVE: A Choptank Electric employee reported that a client, Richard Kleinen at 310 Spring Road had been disconnected from his power supply on October 11th. On today’s date a service call had been issued to reconnect service as the bill had been paid. When the employee arrive, he found that power was being supplied to the residence without authorization. The meter indicated that 2494 kilowatts electric had been used illegally valued at $316.93.

 

Because of the tampering, Choptank Electric was terminating service and disconnecting from the pole as opposed to the residence again. When Choptank Electric arrived to disconnect, two unknown males approached him making threats regarding the shut-off. A second attempt was made with an escort from a deputy.

 

Charges for theft and tampering with electric company property have been issued for Richard W. Kleinen Sr. and service of the Criminal Summons is pending.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency

LOCATION: Stanford Road, Centreville

VICTIM: Female (50) of Centreville

 

NARRATIVE: Deputies were called to location for a report of an intoxicated female threatening to harm herself with a knife. On arrival, it was believed she had also taken some prescription medication. She was transported by patrol car to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

LOCATION: Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown

VICTIM: Shantell Brown of Montgomery Village, MD

Lakeyia Massey of Norfolk, VA

Delores Pruitt of Norfolk, VA

Andrew Gadson of Suitland, MD

 

NARRATIVE: Victim Brown reported she and two others, Massey and Pruitt had left several bags of purchased items in plain view in her Dodge Durango and then returned shopping. Upon returning to the vehicle the doors were open and bags missing. Investigation indicated one of the doors had been damaged. Items missing were valued at $422 and damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1200.

 

Another shopper, Gadson, reported being parked in the area and entry was made to his vehicle a Honda Civic. Victim stated he had left the window slightly cracked and believed that was the entry point. Gadson reported missing 22 pairs of Nike shoes valued at $400.
