Queen Anne’s County Animal Services is excited to announce the return of Critter Camp, an exciting summer program for children aged 6 to 12. Join us for our second annual Critter Camp, featuring two separate camps for different age groups and special appearances by outside wildlife presenters. The camps will be held from July 5th to July 8th for ages 6-9 and from July 12th to July 15th for ages 9-12.
Critter Camp offers an engaging and educational experience that allows children to learn about animals, nature, and conservation in a fun and interactive environment. Our campers will enjoy a variety of activities, including outdoor presentations by wildlife experts, engaging crafts, and animal education sessions conducted by our dedicated staff.
By participating in Critter Camp, children will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about a wide range of animals and their habitats
- Interact with live animals under the supervision of experienced handlers
- Engage in hands-on crafts and creative projects related to animals and conservation
- Gain valuable knowledge about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare
- Foster a sense of environmental stewardship and compassion towards animals
Critter Camp will be held daily from 10 am to 4 pm, providing a full day of exciting and enriching activities for our young campers. The enrollment fee for each camper is $200. This fee covers all materials, supplies, and specialized instruction provided during the camp.
There are limited spaces available, so make sure to reserve your child’s spot today! To sign up for Critter Camp, please email our Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator, Sarah Rondeau, atsrondeau@qac.org.
