QAC Emergency Services to host Skywarn Weather Safety Presentation by the NWS

Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services and the National Weather Service (NWS) invite you to a weather safety presentation. The training is free and open to anyone, but registration is required. Those 18 and older can apply to become a Certified Storm Spotter with the NWS following training.

SKYWARN® is a volunteer program with between 350,000 and 400,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
