QAC Free Memory Screening Day

National Memory Screening Day is coming to Queen Anne’s County on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association of Maryland, the screenings will be conducted by staff of the Queen Anne’s County Area Agency on Aging at four sites from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The face to face confidential screening only takes about 10 minutes to administer. Memory screenings are suggested for: anyone concerned about memory loss or experiencing warning signs of Dementia; anyone whose family or friends have noticed changes in them; anyone who feels they may be at risk due to a family history of Dementia; or, for anyone who wants to see how their memory is now to be used for future comparisons. Screeners cannot and will not diagnose. Based on the results, they may refer individuals to pursue a full medical examination.
