QAC Gets New History Lesson Signs

There are two new roadside historical markers in Queen Anne’s County: one that’s brand new; and, the other that’s a replacement for one damaged in a traffic accident. At Route 18 and Dulin Clark Road, there is a gleaming roadside marker telling that renowned colonial-era artist Charles Willson Peale was born nearby. At Chesterfield Avenue and Front Street next to the Corsica River, there is another gleaming marker that tells of the historical significance of the Centreville Wharf that once flourished in the area.
