QAC Parks and Recreation is Offering Two Great Day Trips this March

Join us on Friday, March 5th for a trip to the 2010 Philadelphia Flower Show. Discover the striking flowers from India, the Netherlands, Singapore and other exotic locales at the 2010 Philadelphia Flower Show themed “Passport to the World.” Fee includes round trip transportation and admission. Children may attend with an adult. Cost: $60
Depart: Kent Island Park and Ride (7:00 a.m.) or Food Lion in Millington (7:30 a.m.)
Return: Approximately 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, March 27th, Parks and Recreation is offering a trip to New York City to see Billy Elliot on Broadway, the new show that has captured Broadway’s heart and received the best reviews for any musical in years. The recently reduced cost of $160 includes a mezzanine ticket and roundtrip bus fare. According to the show’s official website www.billyelliotbroadway.com, the show has been called “Extraordinarily Uplifting” by Time Out New York and “Intoxicating” by The New York Times. “Based on the critically acclaimed feature film, Billy Elliot is brought to life by the movie’s original creative team – director Stephen Daldry, choreographer Peter Darling and writer Lee Hall – along with music legend Elton John, who has written what the New York Post calls “His Best Score Yet!”
Let us take care of the driving and parking while you sit back end enjoy the Tony Award winning musical Billy Elliot. The bus will arrive in NYC by 11 a.m. Show time is 2 p.m. giving you a chance to stretch and sightsee before the show. The trip’s price includes Mezzanine seating and roundtrip bus fare. Cost: $160 per person. Additionally, the bus is open to those who do not want to attend the show, but would like to spend a day in NYC. Depart: Kent Island Park and Ride (6:00 a.m.) or Queen Anne’s County High (6:20 a.m.)
