QAC Planning Commission Vacancy

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are seeking to fill a recently vacated seat on the county’s Planning Commission. Commission Member Cherae Ensor resigned her position August 1, because her family is moving out of the county. The County Commissioners will select an applicant to fill the remainder of Ms. Ensor’s term which expires December 31, 2016.

The deadline for applications is September 18, 2013. Applicants are requested to send a letter of interest and resume to QAC Liberty Building, Att: Leslie Salvatori, 107 N. Commerce St. Centreville, MD 21617 or via email tolsalvatori@qac.org.

The Planning Commission was established in January 1961, after being created by the County Commissioners pursuant to the authority granted in Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

The Planning Commission has the powers necessary to enable it to fulfill its functions, promote planning and execute the functions of Article 66B. The seven member Commission makes and approves plans they recommend to the Board of County Commissioners for adoption. They meet the second Thursday of every month and on an as-needed basis for special meetings.
