I love it because it is a powerful way to express every possible emotion, and it and speaks to everyone in different ways. For me, music has always been an outlet. Singing and performing on stage with others builds such a strong bond. I find that I am happiest and feel most comfortable when I am with other people who enjoy singing and acting because our performing for others is a love that we share.”
Ms. Kalicky, Choral Director at QACHS expressed a similar sentiment: “Maya’s motivation, passion, and overall musicianship are evident in all she does. She has an inherent ability, which is rare, that will only continue to develop and evolve as she spends time surrounded by the arts.”
