Queen Anne’s County Public Schools (QACPS) is proud to announce the opening of its 5th Annual Faculty Art Show, a vibrant celebration of creativity and community. The exhibition, hosted in partnership with the Queen Anne’s County Centre for the Arts, showcases original works by 14 of the district’s visual arts teachers, reflecting the continued dedication of QACPS educators to “stay artists” and model creative growth for their students.

Michael Bell, Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts for QACPS, expressed deep appreciation for the partnership that has made the show such a success:

“This partnership with the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council—and the incredible support from Rick Strittmater and Allison Moffatt—has been transformative. They’ve given our teachers a professional space to shine as artists, not just educators. To host this many art teachers exhibiting this year is incredible. It’s a reminder that when teachers stay artists, they bring that same spark, curiosity, and creative energy right back to their classrooms.”

The Faculty Art Show has become one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year, providing art educators a platform to share their personal creative practices with the wider community, and put their works up for sale.

“All of us at the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council are, once again, looking forward to hosting the work of some of our best and brightest art educators,” said Allison Moffatt of the QAC Arts Council. “It has quickly become one of our favorite shows of the year.”

The exhibition will remain on display at the Centre for the Arts through November 1, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. The event is free to the public, so please come out and support our talented art educators.
