Queen Anne’s Chorale Celebrates 30 years!

Join the Queen Anne’s Chorale on April 27th at 7:00pm at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College as they celebrate 30 years of providing music to the community with their Spring Concert. Selections from folk, Broadway, spirituals and a whole lot more will fill the evening.

Part of the celebration will be to honor the past and current artistic directors Josalee Birchfield, Ann Turpin, Betty-Ann Lynerd and Robert Huntington. “It is an honor to follow in the footsteps of our previous directors and I look forward to celebrating in music 30 years” stated Robert Huntington the current director.

Former Director Ann Turpin will guest conduct “How Lovely Is They Dwelling Place” from Brahms Requiem. The Chorale will also honor our recently retired accompanist Cynthia Bidinotto-Slate. Plus, the Chorale will be joined by a guest choir from Queen Anne’s County High School. The event will be followed by a gala reception with live music.

Tickets are just $20 for adults and free for children through High School age and can be purchased at the door or by going to www.qachorale.org. You can also call 443-262-8146 for ticket or general information.

Queen Anne’s Chorale is supported in part through grants from the United Way of Queen Anne’s Count, the Queen Anne’s County Centre for the Arts, the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
