March 5 – 26- Circuit Pump, Tuesdays 9:15-10:30 a.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. or Thursdays 9:15-10:30 a.m. $8 per session paid to instructor or pre-pay discount for 5 classes. Walk-ins welcome. Students ready to make body changes and to feel better will find these personally designed fitness classes effective and fun. March 8- Wild, Domestic Wearable Reception, Friday 5:30-7:30 p.m. Queen Anne’s County Arts Council’s Centre for the Arts invites the public to an exhibit featuring visual artists Sally Clark and Ric Conn and jewelry designer Joan Nubie. March 9 and March 16- Adobe Lightroom, Organizing & Editing, Saturday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Ages 16+. Learn to easily organize, improve and recover, search large collections, display, send and print digital image files and more. The class covers Adobe “Lightroom” (v. 3 or 4), Version 4 (at 1/2 previous price) adds video editing, geotagging, and making photo books. March 16- Dixie Power Trio Concert, Saturday 7 p.m. Zachary Smith’s Dixie Power Trio will be performing at the Centre for the Arts. A Dixieland Band that seamlessly melds Cajun and Zydeco with country and rock and roll for a night of great entertainment. Members incorporate tuba, cornet, banjo, drums, accordion, washboard and great vocals for a refreshing take on traditional music from Louisiana. $25 QAC Arts Council members/$30 nonmembers. March 23 – Anime V. Chibi Clothing and Accessories, Ages 10 to 18, Saturday, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Instructor Hanna Kingsley returns to the Arts Council to offer a new course that takes Anime or Chibi to the next level learning great techniques for creating clothing and accessories.
