The Race for Trace is a 5k fun run and walk to raise money to support the fight against Congenital Heart Disease. Trace was a student at Little Lamb Preschool at Wye Bible Church in Grasonville, MD. Little Lamb wants to honor Trace and raise money to help fight against this horrible disease.

Goal: Team Trace’s goal is to support the fight against Congenital Heart Disease in honor of our super hero, Trace Knight.

Mission: One of Trace’s Dr’s has a research project on designing a new artificial mitral valve. The goal is to design a small surgically implanted valve that is then able to be made larger in the cath lab as the child grows. They have a number of design possibilities already, and need funding to make and test these early prototypes. This is a project that has potential to help children with heart disease similar to Trace’s, and would be a meaningful way to honor his memory.
