The Queen Anne’s Amateur Radio Club (QAARC) is currently seeking used amateur radio equipment. The club is asking that current radio operators, past operators, and friends or spouses of operators consider donating equipment that is no longer being used to the QAARC.
The club needs amateur radio equipment for emergency deployment, education and training, and establishing fixed stations. Equipment donations can be made to the club as charitable, tax deductible items. The QAARC is a 501c(3) tax exempt organization. The QAARC Website, www.qaarc.org, provides information regarding the club’s tax exempt status.
Club members will accept drop-off donations from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4 in the meeting room of the Queen Anne’s County Library at 121 S. Commerce Street, Centreville, MD. Donors can also arrange for equipment pickup by sending an e-mail to qso@qaarc.org or by phoning the club President, Mike Widdekind at 410-739-8718.
