Reeder Named Home Health Manager for Shore Home Care

Deborah Reeder, RN, COS-C, of Centreville is the new home health manager for Shore Home Care. Based in Easton, she is responsible for daily operations, regulatory compliance and management of a 24-hour home health agency staffed by registered nurses and home health aides who provide services in Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline and Queen Anne’s County. Reeder also chairs the Shore Home Care Professional Advisory Committee, which oversees clinical practices and quality improvement initiatives.

Prior to joining Shore Home Care, Reeder was executive director for Chester River Home Care & Hospice in Chestertown for seven years. Her prior experience includes nursing and management positions with nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities in Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties.

A graduate of the Macqueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing, Reeder earned an associate of arts degree in business management from Anne Arundel Community College. She is currently enrolled in the University of Maryland University College business administration undergraduate degree program.

Reeder is a certified OASIS (outcome assessment information set) specialist, which qualifies her to assess adults who are receiving home care and to measure the effectiveness of their treatment. She serves as an officer on the board of directors of the Hospice and Palliative Care Network of Maryland and is a member of the National Association of Home Care and Hospice, the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Maryland National Association of Home Care.
