Our  Relay For Life Team, called Team Brainstorm/ Angela’s Wish are all volunteers. Our team was formed in 2003 by Barbara Goehring, Irene Laird, and other  family and friends of Angela Goehring Taylor. We formed this team when Angela was diagnosed with brain cancer. After 7 1/2 years of battling this horrible disease Angela lost her battle on May 3, 2008, survived by her loving family and friends.Before Angela passed away she ask her Mom, Barbara Goehring to have her family and friends continue with Relay and raise money for The American Cancer Society in Hopes that one day soon there would be a cure for this horrible disease called Cancer.Our Team will continue to relay in memory of Angela and her wish and now we are also relaying in honor of Eric Pecor the husband of Angela’s sister Christie Pecor. Eric was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June of 2009. Eric under went surgery to remove his thyroid and then went through a treatment to kill all of the remaining cancer cells, Eric is doing great and is now cancer free.

This is two stories of people with cancer and I know that everyone reading this has their own story of someone who has lost their battle to cancer or who is battling cancer now, so we all need to work together to raise money for the American Cancer Society, so we can make Angela’s and others with cancer, wish come true. THE HOPE FOR A CURE.

There are a least 30-35 teams in this years Q.A. Co Relay For Life, so if you see that a team is having a fundraiser please support them. Relay is about a community joining as one to take up the fight against cancer !
