Perdue Farms is planning a two-year, $12.8-million remodeling of its corporate office building. Eileen Burza, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Perdue, says the renovation will cost less than expanding the existing structure or building new office space. Plans include a new heating-ventilation- air conditioning system within the renovated space, which is expected to reduce energy costs by 25-percent. Perdue has signed a short-term lease at the former Circuit City building a few miles from the corporate office to free up space to begin the renovation.
