The month of March heats up with Ballroom Dance lessons in Salsa and Tango with Championship Dancer Amanda Showell. This award winning dancer instructs students of all levels and has gained a faithful and growing following in Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties. Whether your interest in dancing is to feel comfortable at important social events, like a wedding, or for a sheer love of music and movement, students will find these classes easy and fun. Classes will be held at the Centre for the Arts in Centreville, Maryland.
Singles and couples are welcome. The cost is $50 for members of the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council or $55 for non-members. These four-week sessions begin on March 14. Salsa starts at 7 p.m. and American Tango at 8 p.m. Advance registration is required by March 7.
Showell has taught at some of the largest dance schools on the east coast, having coached the dance teams of both Princeton University and the University of Delaware. A teacher since 1996, she has won numerous ballroom dance competition titles and trained with World Class dancers such as Peter Eggleton and Charlotte Jorgensen.
The Centre for the Arts classes are designed to renew existing artistic interests, and to develop new skills.
