SAVE THE DATE: KINERA’S  3rd ANNUAL “TRUNK OR TREAT” HALLOWEEN EVENT, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28

Stevensville, Maryland: October 8, 2018 — Kinera Foundation Eastern Shore Regional Hub will host its 3rd annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. both indoors and outdoors at 115 Sallitt Drive, Suite C, Stevensville, located at the Chesapeake Bay Business Park. This very popular event is free, open to the public and is held rain or shine.

Kinera’s Trunk or Treat will kick off at 2 p.m. with a “sensory friendly” trick or treating experience tailored for families with children with special needs and disabilities. Local businesses and organizations will have table displays and vehicle trunks decorated in Halloween style, and participants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite vendor display. Trick or treaters are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and will be able to participate in the crafts and games, as well as trick or treating at the vendors’ tables for treats and giveaways. The sensory friendly portion of the event will last through 3 p.m.

Beginning at 3 p.m., the Trunk or Treat will open to the general public to offer a great prelude to the Halloween evening or an alternative to door-to-door trick or treating. Complimentary food and drinks will be available for all attendees and provided by Queen Anne’s County Team Autism. There will be a kids corner with crafts and games, costumed “Superheroes”, and local “DJ Dalton” will be providing the music. In addition to the Kinera Foundation sponsoring the event, there will be other sponsors including local businesses and organizations.

This is a free event for families, but registration is required by RSVP’ing to www.kinera.org. For more information about this event and how to sponsor, partner or provide a vendor/business table, please contact Kate McCloskey at kate@kinera.org or the Kinera Foundation office at 443-249-3126.
