Queen Anne’s County Tourism in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center is hosting an abundance of sea glass events in the month of March. These events will include lectures, workshops, hunts and the world renowned expert and author on sea glass, Richard LaMotte to speak. All of these events will be centered on sea glass, “nature’s vanishing treasure.”

Sat March 3- Workshop (10-12pm) Sea Glass Jewelry Making
Fri March 9- Guided Hunt SOLD OUT! (1-6:30pm); Lecture (7-8pm). Guided hunt on local, public beaches followed by one on one time with Richard LaMotte and a boxed dinner. Followed by LaMotte’s lecture on the History of Sea Glass.
Sat March 10- Lecture (9:30-10:30am); Sea Glass Swap (12-4pm).”From Shipwrecks to Bottlenecks” – lecture by Ellie Mercier of Annapolis Sea Glass Studio- FREE to attend. Sea Glass Swap to include vendors selling sea glass art, jewelry, crafts and other related items. Open to the public and FREE to attend.
Fri March 23- Guided Hunt (1-6:30pm); Lecture (7-8pm). See description on March 9. LaMotte’s lecture will focus on Identifying Sea Glass.
Sat March 24- Sea Glass Swap (12-4pm). Sea Glass Swap to include vendors selling sea glass art, jewelry, crafts and other related items. Open to the public and FREE to attend.
