This week’s Second Saturday event in Cambridge promises to deliver fun and romance for Valentine’s Day weekend. The festivities feature a special event: “High Heel Race Down Race Street” to benefit breast cancer research. This fun race, which is open to men and women, kicks off at 5:30 p.m., and requires all participants to run in heels. Prizes will be awarded, including for the highest heel and the most creative attire. After the Race, stay downtown to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Look for romantic restaurants, late shopping hours for that last minute special gift, live music, and free gallery receptions, all in a four-block stretch of downtown Cambridge.
