Sewing Circle Makes Angels For Hospice Patients

The Sewing Circle of United Methodist Women from the Centreville United Methodist Church take a short break from their projects, several of which they create as part of their ministry for the patients of Hospice of Queen Anne’s. Standing, from left are Barbara Galloway, Emily Parry, and Barbara Erickson; seated are Susan Murdoch, Avis Kessler and Nancy Williams. Not pictured are Anita Dell and Eileen Hahn. Two years ago, Rev. Phyllis Radlinski, HQA’s spiritual services coordinator, asked the group to make crocheted angels she thought would be helpful to some of her hospice patients. The angels are shown in the forefront of the photo along with lap quilts and bibs. The group has been meeting every Tuesday morning at the church for more than ten years.
