Shore Health System Expands Diagnostic Testing in Centreville

Shore Health System has expanded its imaging services by bringing PET/CT to Centreville.

PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) is most often ordered by physicians who use these three-dimensional images of the body to diagnose cancer and neurological and cardiology diseases.

Shore Health System offers PET/CT services every Wednesday at the Easton Diagnostic and Imaging Center on 10 Martin Court. This same service is now available every other Monday at the Centreville Diagnostic Imaging Center located at 2540 Centreville Road. Appointments are available from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

“Bringing PET/CT to Centreville supports the growing demand for these sophisticated medical images and provides patients with convenient access to this service without having to travel to Easton,” explains Gary Bigelow, Director of Radiology Services for Shore Health System.

“Having PET/CT available in Centreville eliminates travel for people who live in Queen Anne’s and Kent counties and adds additional appointment times for people across the Mid-Shore region,” Bigelow says.

A physician referral is required for a PET CT. Appointments can be made by calling Community Wide Access at 410-822-1000, ext. 2600.
