Shore Health System’s Diagnostic and Imaging Center in Easton has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation for its magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services by the American College of Radiology (ACR). ACR awards accreditation to facilities that provide the highest level of patient care and image quality. This accreditation was given after a recent inspection and peer-review evaluation of the facility.
An MRI is a painless test utilizing magnetic fields to produce images of the soft tissue areas of the body to help physicians diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
Shore Health System’s MRI services were evaluated and met state of the art standards for image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs. The Diagnostic and Imaging Center located at 10 Martin Court is also ACR accredited in CT, ultrasound and mammography.
