Shore Regional Health Welcomes New Pediatrician 

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health and its affiliate, University of Maryland Shore Medical Group, recently welcomed a new pediatrician to its medical staff at Shore Pediatrics. Gina Exantus-Bernard, MD, FAAP, joins Ahmed Abdel-Gawad, MD, FAAP, at the Cambridge location of Shore Pediatrics.

Dr. Bernard earned her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of Haiti, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. Since obtaining her medical degree, she has held positions at hospitals abroad in Haiti and Martinique, and most recently at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she served as chief resident. Fluent in English, French, Spanish and Haitian Creole, Dr. Bernard is board certified in general pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
