Spanish Camps for Ages 4 – 11

Campers at Centreville Middle School will have the opportunity to participate in fun educational activities, including “theme” weeks, and will utilize their newly learned Spanish language skills in a variety of entertaining projects. How about playing in your own Latin Band with instruments such as congas and bongos and a percussionist to show you how to play them? Or “Discover Your Own Treasure” in a pirate scavenger hunt. Create wild masks from indigenous Latin American cultures. Try out Latin dances. Learn the three basic salsa steps and then choreograph your own dance. Our closing activities feature a fiesta day with a piñata. Each session promises to be a new and exciting experience! Could there be a better way to learn conversational Spanish? Children must be potty trained and need to bring their own snack each day.
Camps will be held in the portable classroom behind Centreville Middle School. Each session runs from 9 a.m. to noon, Mondays through Fridays and costs $75. To register for this program, go to www.parksnrec.org to register online or download and print a registration form. Registrations must be received in advance. Questions?
