There is still time to commit to a sponsorship or purchase event tickets for Hospice of Queen Anne’s Masquerade Gala to be held at Hunters Oak Heathland Manor House in Queenstown on April 8 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Event organizers have planned an exciting evening you won’t want to miss complete with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dinner catered by the area’s finest restaurants. Guests can bid on exciting auction items such as an exquisite piece of jewelry from Paula’s Fine Jewelry, a basket of wines featuring magnificent selections from around the world, and a professionally-guided goose hunt for four.

There will be seating for all guests and dancing to the live music of Retrospect. Later in the evening, the Hospice of Queen Anne’s Philanthropist of the Year will be unmasked.

New this year is The Giving Tree, a beautiful six-foot dogwood tree filled with a variety of donated gift cards each valued at more than $25. Guests may pay $20 to select a card from the tree, and one of the cards may be for the live dogwood tree.

Because of generous community support, Hospice of Queen Anne’s continues to provide the highest quality, professional and compassionate care for patients with advancing life-limiting illnesses and support for their families during and after their loved one has died. Care is given based solely on need, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. Continued community support has made it possible for Hospice of Queen Anne’s to offset unfunded room and board expenses in the Residential Hospice Center, which amounted to $201,192 in 2010.
