Chestertown’s Eagle Candidate to Install Flagpole at Queen Anne’s County Library in Centreville

17 year old Evan Toth, Chestertown’s Boy Scout Troop 130 Eagle Candidate, will be installing the 1st phase of his Eagle project this Thursday, July 21st at 5pm. The 1stphase will include flagpole hole digging, cement pouring, and trench digging for the electric light. The 2ndphase will take place on Sunday, July 24th at 1pm, which will include the installation of the flagpole.

Evan Toth started his scouting trail as a Tiger (1st grade), with Cub Scout Pack 1095 from Germantown, Maryland. In 2004, when he bridged to Boy Scout, his family moved to Chestertown where he joined Troop 130.

The mission of Queen Anne’s County libraries is for residents of Queen Anne’s County to receive information and materials in various formats through public library service which successfully addresses their educational, informational and recreational needs in a cost effective manner. The Library is governed by a Board of Library Trustees composed of twelve members. A Board member is appointed to a three year term and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.

Troop 130’s Charter Organization is the First United Methodist Church of Chestertown, Maryland. Troop 130 has been in existence for over 80 years! They are part of the Two Bays District in the Delmarva Council and meets every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
