Grasonville Senior Center announces 6 new Computer and Technology Workshops to be offered during the month of June 2014. Topics include MS Word, New Tablet or iPad, Smart Phones Made Easy, Digital Photos, Basics of Excel, and Creating Power Point Presentations. Registration fee is $15 per workshop.
More About MS Word – This class is designed for individuals who have learned the basics of MS Word but would like to learn more. They will utilize MS Word templates to create and customize documents, as well as learn how to select fonts, change margins, and other features to display text the way they want. Class meets Mondays June 2, 9, 16, & 23 / 10:30am – 12:00pm
New Tablet/iPad – How many folks have a tablet and don’t know how to use it? In this class, they will learn what apps (programs) are on their device, how to access them, and how to effectively use them for their benefit. Class meets Mondays June 2, 9, 16, & 23 / 12:30pm – 2:00pm
Smart Phones Made Easy – Most people have smart phones, but only use them to make calls. In this class, you will discover how smart phone are designed to make life easier for you. Imagine doing online banking, paying your car insurance, and shopping all from the comfort of your phone anywhere you are!

Working With Your Digital Photos – Everyone can take a picture, but not everyone knows how to upload them on computers, edit them to improve their appearance, or share them with their loved ones. In this class, you will learn how to do all of this and more! You’ll need a smart phone or a digital camera that comes with a memory card or a USB connection cable for this class!

Creating PowerPoint Presentations – How many of you have seen a PowerPoint presentation and thought to yourself, “I wish I could do that?” Well, you can! In this class, you will learn how to create PowerPoint presentations from scratch and how to make them come alive with pictures, sound, and animation. Class meets Wednesdays June 4, 11, 18 & 25 / 12:30pm – 2:00pm
