Grasonville stabbing Suspect Captured

A Pasadena man was flown via helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being cut in the throat in front of an apartment building on Winchester Creek Road, police said. Nathan Ebert, 50, was in serious but stable condition at the trauma center. The suspect in the assault was later captured after he was spotted running on the golf course nearby, according to scanner reports. Maryland State Police had earlier identified the suspect as Vanell Harris. Harris is believed to be 20 years old and a resident of Denton.

Maryland State Police responded to an apartment building on Winchester Creek Road in Grasonville and found Ebert bleeding from the area of his throat, the apparent victim of an attack with a box cutter or knife. According to witnesses at the scene, police said that Ebert had been working around the apartment building for most of the day. Police said Harris was believed to be visiting someone at the apartment building and that the two did not know each other. Police said the assault on Ebert took place somewhere in front of the home. Police captured the suspect and arrested him. He was being taken for processing.

He can bring audiences to reverent silence with jazz versions of ballads like “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” then excite them minutes later with swinging song renditions reminiscent of Erroll Garner and Oscar Peterson. Hot off a 2009 Grammy win, LSBM’s music is the embodiment and soul of South Africa. The world was introduced to them when they heard their stunning harmonies on Paul Simon’s “Graceland” and they have continually shared their magic with musical luminaries such as Josh Groban, Taj Mahal, and George Clinton. Founder Joseph Shabalala formed this group with his brothers 40 years ago and while the band continues to evolve and change with the times, the one thing that stays the same is their energetic and completely heart lifting dances. Keep an eye out for the red socks.
