WHAT: Anne Arundel Medical Center’s monthly health and wellness series, AAMC docsTALK, provides comprehensive and interactive health education to the community. The series will offer FREE insight, information and access to health care professionals.

Transforming traditional seminars into casual conversation, AAMC docsTALK offers a relaxed atmosphere to tackle tough issues, raise questions and encourage participation.

Pillow Talk: Secrets of Sound Sleep:
Co-hosts Briana Walton, MD and John Martin, MD along with guest experts, Cardiologist Barbara Hutchinson, MD,and Sleep Specialist Ira Weinstein, MD, will share tips on how to improve sleep habits and wake-up feeling refreshed and rested. After the show, get answers to medical questions in small group breakout sessions.

Description: Kick off the third season of the popular health show, docsTALK, featuring co-hosts Briana Walton, MD and John Martin, MD. They will interview guest experts Aimee Yu, MD, pulmonologist and David Afzal, DO, family medicine, for an in-depth look at how the power of positive thinking can affect your health. They’ll examine alternative ways to manage the difficulty of living with chronic disease, overcoming serious illness and how to stay positive through it all. After the show, the audience will get answers to medical questions in small group breakout sessions.

Transforming traditional seminars into casual conversation, AAMC docsTALK offers a relaxed atmosphere to tackle tough issues, raise questions and encourage participation. Join docsTALKs’ host Briana Walton, M.D. for a special women’s health discussion as we launch our new program Smart Women. This event, “Smart Women: Wise Choices for Lifelong Health,” will cover hormonal imbalances, delayed fertility, fibroids, pelvic floor disorders, and discuss health screenings for every age. Featuring special guests, Dr. Chasheryl Leslie, OB-GYN and Dr. Suzanne Niemla, internist, guests will learn about key health issues for women . This event, “A Burning Issue,” will cover acid reflux and digestive health disorders. Featuring internationally renowned surgeon Adrian Park, M.D., chair of surgery and gastroenterologist, Melanie Jackson, M.D., guests will learn about the many options available to treat heartburn, reflux and other complex digestive disorders. After the show, guests can meet our experts, ask questions and get answers.
