The University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation recently recognized nursing staff members from two inpatient care units at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, as Everyday Heroes.  The staff was nominated for the quality care provided to a former patient.

The University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation recently recognized Annette Moore, RNC, ONC and Laurie Gaffney, RN, BSN from the Joint Center at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton as Everyday Heroes.  The nurses were nominated by Rosemary Trippe of Easton, for the care they provided her while she was a patient at the Joint Center.

Local Pediatricians Honored as Everyday Heroes

The University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation recently recognized four local pediatricians as Everyday Heroes.  The physicians were nominated by the employees of the Pediatrics Unit and Birthing Center at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton for their collaboration in providing exceptional care to the babies born and children treated at the Medical Center.

Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation Team Honored as Everyday Heroes

The nursing staff at the Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation was recently honored as Everyday Heroes by a grateful patient.

The patient made a donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation in appreciation of the care he received while receiving physical therapy at the Requard Center at Memorial Hospital.

Shore Health System Security Officers Honored as Everyday Heroes

amily and friends of a Memorial Hospital patient made a donation to Shore Health System to honor three Security officers for being “gracious and kind.”

The donor commented, “(The Security officers) helped to create a sense of calm and an unhurried atmosphere. We felt that their wonderful, welcoming demeanor made a real difference, making what could have been a difficult situation memorable and gratifying.”

Memorial Hospital Nurse Honored as an Everyday Hero

Amanda Lyons, RN a nurse in the Short Stay Unit at the Memorial Hospital at Easton, was recently recognized as an Everyday Hero.

The patient who made a donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation to honor Lyons was impressed by the warm welcome she received from the nurse when she returned for infusion therapy. The patient describes Lyons as “extremely pleasant and made the experience pleasant and I appreciated it!”

Surgical Unit Praised as Everyday Heroes

A patient recently made a generous donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation in appreciation of the Memorial Hospital at Easton Surgical Unit staff. The donor commented, “This donation is for the recognition of the entire staff on the 3rd floor who helped me through my shoulder replacement. A special thanks to Colby (Foxwell) who helped expedite my departure.”
