Caregivers Support Group Meeting To Learn, Relax, Share

The Queen Anne’s County Area Agency on Aging will be hosting their quarterly Family Caregivers Support Group on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Kramer Center in Centreville.

This is an opportunity to learn: Jennifer Fitzpatrick, MSW with the Alzheimer’s Association will present “Coping with the Holidays: Tips for Caregivers of Persons with Dementia.”

This will be an opportunity to relax: Barb Fuhrman will conduct Yoga techniques and Paula Wagner will provide hand massages.

This will be an opportunity to share: the last half hour of the event will be dedicated to caregivers sharing their experiences.

The event will start at 1:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. There is no charge for this event. One CEU can be earned by Social Workers. Refreshments will be available. We encourage all family caregivers to give themselves an afternoon to learn, relax, and share.

This free event is being made possible through support from the Alzheimer’s Association, the National Family Caregiver’s Association, and community volunteers.

Please call the Area Agency on Aging at 410-758-0848 if you have questions or need more information.
