Chestertown’s Annual Festival of Trees. The Members of the Soroptimist International of Kent County are pleased to announce a new location for this year’s Festival of Trees. There will be an official tree lighting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Santa will visit from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and photos will be available. New this year, the local Girl Scout Troops will have a gingerbread house display. Also, The Kent Center Friends and Families will host a Hidden Treasure Showcase and a silent auction. Local businesses and organizations will offer trees on display reflecting themes of special interest. At the Kent Center. Fri. 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.-34 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 410-639-7985.

Easton’s Festival of Trees. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Easton’s Festival of Trees, presented by Friends of the Hospice. Activities include a fashion show, dinner at the Crab Claw, Christmas Elves Shop, a Run/Walk for Hospice, Daddy Daughter Dance, Mother Son Dance, Holiday Bingo, and the not-to-be-missed Homes Tour. Ticket prices for individual events can be found on the website. At various locations in Easton, including the Tidewater Inn and the homes of Elizabeth Fago, Jack and Eleanor Shriver Magee, Scott and Janet Haddock, and Byron LaMotte. Individual event times vary, but the Homes Tour is open Sat.-Sun., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online ($30 in advance, $35 on Saturday and Sunday), or in person at the following locations:
