Learn CPR, AED & First Aid

CBEC will be hosting this important training on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 6-9 PM

• Basic CPR training will cover Adult, Child and Infant CPR training, as well as how to handle choking emergencies.
• AED (automated, External Defibrillator) training will teach you how to operate a publicly accessible defibrillator.
• First Aid will cover the basics in how to handle: Bleeding, shock, burns, medical & environmental emergencies, breaks, sprains and strains, poisonings, bites and stings and many other emergency situations.

Participants will receive certification for the “Heartsaver” through the American Heart Association. Cards will be awarded at the completion of class. This certification is valid for 2 years and is useful for those who are: boat captains, scout leaders, daycare providers, teachers, coaches, massage therapists, athletic/fitness instructors….. or those who just want to know what to do in the event of an emergency! This level of training is NOT for healthcare provider level certification.

The instructor providing this training will be Jill Hite, owner of Keep The Beat CPR and First Aid training. Based in Centreville and serving the Eastern Shore (and beyond) for over 10 years. Jill is a retired Fire/Rescue Captain with the Montgomery County, MD fire department and has been teaching for nearly 30 years.

Cost is just $65.00 per person, with $15 of each payment being donated back to CBEC!
