FUSION FITNESS WRAPS UP FITNESS CHALLENGE BENEFITTING BLOOD BANK OF DELMARVA
During the past four weeks, members of Fusion Fitness Center have been pushing themselves out of their comfort zones to help raise money for the Blood Bank of Delmarva.
Two teams, Gray Team and Black Team, have been competing in a 27-day fitness challenge that included weekly team challenges to complete. Part of the proceeds from each entry fee will be donated to Blood Bank of Delmarva.
“The individuals who have been participating in the fitness challenge are men and women of all ages, sizes and fitness levels. We wanted them to find this challenging, but fun at the same time,” Nic DeCaire, owner of Fusion Fitness Center, said. “In addition, as a local business, we always try to be great community partners. Blood Bank of Delmarva is a fantastic nonprofit that truly affects everyone in our local community. So we are pleased to give them $20 from each entry fee for the fitness challenge.”
On Saturday, Feb. 15, the fitness event will culminate with a final challenge of 45 minutes of “all out fitness” to see which team will take the trophy. Fusion Fitness Center will also announce the amount raised for Blood Bank of Delmarva, which will have a representative on hand to accept the donation.
“We are grateful to Fusion Fitness Center for choosing Blood Bank of Delmarva as the first beneficiary of its fitness challenge,” Roy Roper, Blood Bank of Delmarva President & CEO, said. “We always encourage our blood donors to live active lifestyles and this partnership with a local business has been a great fit.”
