Free Hearing Screening For Seniors, Individuals With Disabilities, and Caregivers- January 13, 2014

The Queen Anne’s County Maryland Access Point (MAP) office and its partner, Holly Community, Inc. (HCI) will offer free hearing screenings at the Sudlersville Senior Center. The screenings will be provided by Maryland Hearing Aid Service, and will take place on January 13, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. If you have any questions about your hearing, now is the time to get a hearing check-up with this free service. Space is limited, so appointments are required.

Free Training Series For Seniors, Individuals With Disabilities, and Caregivers, June 11

The Queen Anne’s County Maryland Access Point (MAP) office and its partner, Holly Community, Inc. (HCI) offer a free training series to bring awareness of the many resources available to seniors, adult individuals living with disabilities, and caregivers. The training series will feature six different educational topics offered at the Queen Anne’s County Senior Centers. The final training day is:

June 11, 2013 – Grasonville Senior Center
11:00-12:00 “What is Peer Mentoring & How can you Volunteer?”
12:30-1:30 “Assistive Tech: Helpful Tools or Science Fiction?”

Seminar attendees are invited to attend a one hour session or stay for both trainings that day. Lunch will be offered in between the morning and afternoon training session for a small donation. Lunch tickets must be reserved by 5/31.

(HCI) offer a free training series to bring awareness of the many resources available to seniors, adult individuals living with disabilities, and caregivers. The training series will feature six different educational topics offered at the Queen Anne’s County Senior Centers. The next training day is May 8, 2013 at Sudlersville Senior Center and begins at 11 a.m. with a discussion of Scooters vs. Wheel Chairs & How to Pay for them followed by the topic of Wheel Chair Ramps: Are they Really for You?

Seminar attendees are invited to attend a one hour session or stay for both trainings that day. Lunch will be offered in between the morning and afternoon training session for a small donation.
