Shelly L. Kulp, MSW, LGSW of Easton, Maryland, has recently joined the Hospice of Queen Anne’s bereavement team as a grief counselor. She works directly with hospice families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. She also provides individual counseling and conducts grief support groups with adults and children.
Kulp earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in social work from Salisbury University in Maryland. She became licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners in July 2013.
Kulp completed an internship at Hospice of Queen Anne’s where she was responsible for a caseload of bereaved clients and helped facilitate grief groups. Following that engagement, she completed another internship with Talbot County Department of Social Services as a case manager in the Adult Protective Services division.
Prior to joining Hospice of Queen Anne’s, Kulp was employed by Talbot Hospice Foundation in Easton, Maryland as their bereavement coordinator.
Kulp has volunteered for a number of organizations including the Talbot Interfaith Shelter in Easton and Camp New Dawn, Hospice of Queen Anne’s healing grief retreat for children, teens and families.
Hospice of Queen Anne’s offers one-of-a-kind care for individuals in the advanced stages of illness and grief support for the loved ones who care for them.
