Neavitt Hosts 14th Annual Community Flea Market

On Saturday, June 11, Neavitt will host its 14th annual community flea market in the town park. The flea market opens at 8 a.m. and runs until noon.

Over 20 vendors will be selling antiques, artwork, sports and boat equipment, tools, housewares, pottery and more. This year, the Terrapin Institute will be offering for sale bird and bat houses as well as a selection of native plants.

Enjoy breakfast or lunch in the Pavilion Cafe and take home an assortment of delicious baked goods. While Mom and Dad shop, kids can swing and slide in the park’s playground.

To reach Neavitt take Route 33 West from St. Michaels for two miles to Route 579. Turn left and continue for eight miles down the Bozman-Neavitt Road. The Neavitt Park is on the right. Follow the signs for off-street parking.

Neavitt Hosts 11th Annual Community Flea Market

On Saturday, June 12, Neavitt will host its 11th annual community flea market in the town park. The flea market opens at 8 a.m. and runs until noon. Rain date is Sunday, June 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Bargain hunters can expect to find housewares, clothing, electronics, books, garden and shop tools, sporting goods, boats, motors and a host of other treasures. Look for pottery along with arts and crafts handmade by local artisans.

Members of the Neavitt United Methodist Church will be selling their popular sausage biscuits and homemade baked goods along with hot dogs, coffee and soft drinks. While Mom and Dad shop, kids can swing and slide in the park’s playground. Representatives will be on hand from Talbot Humane Society and the Terrapin Society will have a special terrapin display.

The flea market is an opportunity to step off the beaten path in a quaint waterfront community that has been home to waterman, farmers and those seeking a quiet, friendly lifestyle for over 200 years.
