New QAC Planning Commission Vacancy

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are seeking to fill a seat on the Planning Commission. A Planning Commission member is moving out of state and resigned, leaving the remainder of her term to be filled. The unexpired term will begin on the date of appointment and expire December 31, 2016. The County Commissioners will select and appoint an applicant to fill this term.

The deadline for applications is January 6, 2014. Applicants are requested to send a letter of interest and resume to QAC Liberty Building, Att: Leslie Salvatori, 107 N. Liberty St., Centreville, MD 21617 or via email tolsalvatori@qac.org.

The Planning Commission was established in January 1961. It has the powers necessary to enable it to fulfill its functions, promote planning and execute the functions of Article 66B. The seven member commission makes and approves plans which they recommend for adoption by the Queen Anne’s County Commissioners. They meet the second Thursday of every month and on an as-needed basis for special meetings.

Commission Member Cherae Ensor resigned her position August 1, because her family is moving out of the county. The County Commissioners will select an applicant to fill the remainder of Ms. Ensor’s term which expires December 31, 2016.

Tolliver resigned her position April 1, after she accepted a job offer that does not afford her the flexibility of schedule to continue to serve. The County Commissioners will select an applicant to fill the remainder of Ms. Tolliver’s term which expires December 31, 2014.
