NARRATIVE: Victim reported several bottles of alcohol missing from the garage and $60 from one of the vehicles. Total loss was estimated at $154.00

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the location for a subject attempting to harm herself. On arrival her condition required transporting her by ambulance to Easton Memorial Hospital.

ARREST: Mary Jane Dillinger (32) of Middle River, MD

CHARGE: Assault – Fail to Obey Lawful Order – Resisting Arrest

 

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the residence for a fight in progress call. On arrival a subject there ran out of the house and advised there was a male subject with a knife. Upon entering the residence they saw several persons holding a male down on the floor. The deputies were told they had taken the knife away from him and that the male was saying he wanted to die.

 

The male was secured and taken out of the house. A female at the location began to interfere and pushing one of the deputies. Due to statements and actions, the male was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment. Prior to leaving, the female, identified as Mary Jane Dillinger again began to be confrontational, yelling and interfering with the deputies. At that time she was placed under arrest and as she was being handcuff resisted arrest. Consumption of alcohol was a factor.

 

Dillinger was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters by MSP Trooper Massoni, while deputies transported the male. Dillinger was processed and taken for an initial appearance. A District Court Commissioner set bail at $2500 which was posted with assistance of a Bail Bondsman.

VICTIM: John Holden of Queen Anne

ARREST: Deborah Marie Holden (54) of Queen Anne

CHARGE: Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to apartment on Main Street, Queen Anne for a domestic in progress. On arrival a male subject met the deputies and advised that the fight was unprovoked and that the female had punched him in the face and also bit him. It was also noted there was some damaged items on the floor. The male had redness on his face where he had been struck.

 

The female advised she was upset over a marital issue and had struck the male. She was placed under arrest and charged with 2nd Degree assault. After processing and initial appearance, she was released on her personal recognizance.

LOCATION: RT 8 @ Bay City, Stevensville

 

ARREST: Jeremy Stephen Artley (41) of Harwood, MD

CHARGE: DWI / Fugitive from another State

 

NARRATIVE: A 1999 GMC Sierra was stopped on RT 8 for a headlight out. Driver was identified as Jeremy Artley of Harwood. After an odor of alcohol was detected, the driver was asked to do several field sobriety tasks. Based on his performance, Artley was placed under arrest for DWI.

 

A computer check of the subject indicated that he was wanted for a failure to appear on a DWI in 2008 through Northampton County, PA.

 

Artley was taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for DWI charges and a Fugitive Warrant, processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner. He was held at the QA Detention Center on No Bail.

NARRATIVE: Deputies saw a Chevrolet Impala with Florida plates parked in front of a storage facility. Upon checking the car it was found that it was occupied by a female from Chestertown. While talking with the woman the odor of burning marijuana was present. A search of the car resulted in the seizure of two small “roach” cigarettes and a metal grinder. Items were sent to the lab for testing and charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: I was reported that the parents heard a loud sound and then found out the 14 year old had discharged a 12 gauge shotgun slug into the wall of his bedroom. After talking with the boy, several other issues were noted and the boy was transported to Easton Memorial for treatment.

NARRATIVE: Deputies dispatched to residence for a domestic, but on arrival learned that an 18 year old female was intoxicated and threatening to harm herself and others in the residence. She was taken into custody and transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for treatment.

NARRATIVE: Units were dispatched to location for a domestic. On arrival a female advised a live-in boyfriend and she had been arguing which became physical. The female claimed to have been struck several times in the face. The female had visible swelling about her face.

 

The male had fled the residence prior to arrival and a search for the man was done without success in locating him. The female was advised of the process for charges and protection order.

VICTIM: Female (48) of Queenstown

 

NARRATIVE: 2004 Chevrolet truck was located in a ditch a short distance out of Queenstown. The truck was running and unsecured. No evidence of the driver as well as any blood, alcohol or CDS was found.

 

A short time later, Centreville Police was out with a female who was a possible driver of the truck. The woman was incoherent at times and inconsistent of her recollection of details with extreme mood swings. She was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to Easton Memorial Hospital for treatment. A friend of the woman was making disposition of the truck.

LOCATION: 1400 Block of Lands End Road, Centreville

VICTIM: Female (47) of Centreville

 

NARRATIVE: A report of a suspicious person in a Mini Cooper parked in the area was checked out by Deputy Mitch Jones. The driver was a female who stated she was OK and just looking at the water but appeared to be very lethargic. Further investigation resulted in the female showing the deputy her medication, which included a form of Xanax. Her prescription bottle had been filled earlier in the day and should have had 60 pills but was empty. Texts on her cell phone indicated she wanted to harm herself. An ambulance was called and she was taken by ambulance to Chester River Medical Center for treatment.

LOCATION: 424 Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown

VICTIM: GAP Store

 

NARRATIVE: Manager at the GAP Store reported two subjects were acting suspiciously and after they left she checked store security footage and discovered the female had stuffed 5 shirts into her pocketbook. The shirts were valued at $85.

 

The female was an African American with short hair and a slim build and left in a white Nissan Altima 4 door with unknown MD tag.

INCIDENT: DWI Arrest

DATE / TIME: 08/15/2013 @ 2257 Hours

LOCATION: RT 313 @ RT 300 near Sudlersville

 

ARREST: Alberto Simon Francisco (27) of Sudlersville

CHARGE: DWI / Driving without a license / driving unregistered vehicle

 

NARRATIVE: A blue 2003 Saturn passenger vehicle was seen traveling on RT 313 with temporary registration which expired October 2012. The vehicle was stopped and the driver stated his name was Alberto Simon Francisco and that he did not have a license. The driver had several indicators of a possible DWI including an odor of alcohol on his breath.

 

Several field sobriety tasks were attempted and not done properly as directed. Mr. Francisco was placed under arrest and the vehicle was towed. After charges and processing at Sheriff’s Headquarters, he was released on his signature.

ARREST: Craig Sudler Willis (42) of Sudlersville

CHARGE: Assault 2nd Degree / Reckless Endangerment / Disorderly Conduct / Disturbance of the Peace

 

NARRATIVE: Units were dispatched to the area for a suspicious person. The caller was reporting a white male was driving a dark SUV on the grass and yelling out the window. A second call was received from a second person who reported being awakened by a gunshot.

 

As Sgt. Carr arrived, he saw a white male heading towards a dark SUV with its lights on. Sgt. Carr attempted to stop the man who became hostile and agitated. Once in custody, the man refused to talk other than obscenities.

 

Victim, William Faust reported he heard a gunshot and looked out and saw Mr. Willis with a shotgun. He turn saw Mr. Willis pickup his mailbox and place it under the tire of the SUV. When Mr. Faust exited his residence, Mr. Willis made threats to harm the victim and then “bumped” him. When the police car was seen arriving Mr. Willis attempted to get to his SUV.

 

Victim advised he was a Town Council member and Mr. Willis was angry over receiving an ordinance violation because his grass was too tall and issues over a water bill.

 

A20 gauge double barrel shotgun was located on the passenger seat of the SUV along with a recently spent shell. Victim’s mailbox was located with a large hole on each side.

 

Craig Willis was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. At an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Craig Willis was held on a $50,000 bail. He was later released on a property bond.

CHARGE: Assault (3 Counts) / Disorderly Conduct / Resisting Arrest

 

NARRATIVE: Deputy Kellogg was in the area on another call for service when she located a young male lying face down in a yard on Shi Lane. Kellogg and Trooper Massoni went over to check the subject and as they woke him up a strong odor of alcohol was present. As they were talking to him, he began to hit and push the officers and then attempted to run. As they attempted to place the male under arrest, he continued to hit and grab the officers. Attempts to subdue the male by an electronic control device and pepper spray were used. The male broke free and through a fence and foot chase began. The male was eventually located and stopped in the 600 block of Kimberly Way.

 

The male was transported to Queen Anne’s Emergency Room in Grasonville and later released to a parent. He has been referred to Juvenile Justice for Assault, Disorderly and Resisting Arrest.

NARRATIVE: Sheriff Gary Hofmann is reporting that on August 9th, the Office of the Sheriff conducted a joint operation with the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force in northern Queen Anne’s County to address citizen complaints of suspected drug trafficking and other quality of life crimes.

 

At 1830 hours Dfc. Rickard and Deputy Draper observed two subjects acting in a suspicious manner in Pinkney Park located near Crumpton. Contact was made with the two subjects and further investigation resulted in the seizure suspected crack cocaine individually packaged for street level sales from one of the subjects (identified as David D. Hicks). Hicks, who has a prior history of felony drug distribution was taken into custody and subsequently held at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond. The suspected crack cocaine and $30 was seized and placed into evidence. Charges are pending on the second subject.

 

At 1945 hours detectives of the drug task force observed the driver of a Cadillac make several traffic violations and followed the vehicle until a marked unit arrived to make the traffic stop. The Cadillac was stopped in the 400 block of Pine Tree Road, Chestertown (QA). As the deputy approached the car, the driver threw a black plastic bag from the car and drove off. The Cadillac drove about a mile on Pine Tree Road, failed to negotiate a curve ending up in a ditch. The driver identified as Daryll Lamont Brooks was taken into custody. A ten month old female was located unsecured in the rear seat. The child was checked by paramedics at the scene and then released into the custody of a grandmother who had responded to the scene.

 

The bag that Brooks had thrown was recovered and found to contain over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and a working digital scale. Brooks who has a felony drug charge history was taken into custody and held by a District Court Commissioner on a $350,000 bond at the QA County Detention Center. In addition to the CDS, the 2002 Cadillac Coupe-de-Ville and $145.00 cash was seized.

NARRATIVE: Employees arriving for work found that the golf cart shed had been broken into and two carts had been taken, used on the course and then returned with damage. In addition they located damage to some of the greens. Damages were estimated at $665.

ARREST: Simon John Hellyer (37) of Grasonville

CHARGE: DWI

 

NARRATIVE: Sgt. Stouffer was traveling on Main Street just east of Oyster Cove and located a 2003 Lincoln off the roadway and into the marsh. About thirty feet further on the road was a male walking could be seen. While talking with the man, identified as Simon Hellyer it was noted that the odor of alcohol was present, he was swaying while standing and had mud on his legs. When asked if he had wrecked his car and he replied he had pulled off the road. The Lincoln was found to be registered to the man.

 

Hellyer was charged with DWI and later released on his signature. The Lincoln was towed from the scene.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported leaving his red 2008 Honda 250 (4×2) four wheeler in his back yard around 11 PM. As he was leaving for work in the morning, he realized that the four-wheeler was gone. The Honda was valued at $4000.

ARREST: Patricia Elizabeth Partlow (41) of Arnold

CHARGE: DWI

 

NARRATIVE: Deputy responding to a non-emergency call saw a pickup stopped on the side of the road appearing to be disabled. Once stopped he could see a white Kia passenger vehicle in the marshy area with the lights on. The driver was still in the car when contacted and identified as Patricia Partlow by her MD driver’s license. Driver advised she was ok and only had a few drinks. Strong odor of alcohol and other indicators led the deputy to conduct field sobriety tasks. The result was the arrest of Ms. Partlow.

 

After charging documents and related paperwork was issued, she was released to a sober adult.

Incident: Search and Seizure Warrant

Date/Time: August 12, 2013 at 0825 hours

Location: Maryland Route 8 @ Bay City Drive Stevensville, MD 21666

Arrest: Jordan Dane Brooks (24) of White Marsh (Formally of Centreville)

 

Narrative : Detectives of the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force served a search and seizure warrant on Jordan Dane Brooks and his 2002 Acura. Brooks, who is currently residing in Anne Arundel County, is accused of transporting heroin from Annapolis and selling it in Queen Anne’s County on a daily basis.

 

Task Force investigators had obtained a search and seizure warrant for Brooks and his vehicle and as he entered Queen Anne’s County was stopped by Trooper Isabelle of the Centreville MSP Barrack. A search of Brooks and his vehicle revealed 27 cellulose capsules of heroin and $147.00 from the front seat of Brook’s vehicle. In addition to the suspected CDS and cash, the 2002 Acura was also seized. The street value of the heroin in Queen Anne’s County is $540.00.

 

Brooks is being charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of heroin and possession of paraphernalia. Brooks is currently waiting to be seen by the District Court Commissioner.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that earlier that evening someone had entered his residence and removed an HP laptop Computer, a Colt .357 Revolver, a .22 Remington camouflaged rifle with a scope, 2 – 30 round magazines for the .22 rifle and a crossbow. The items were valued at $1860 and investigation continues.

NARRATIVE: Units were dispatched to the area for a report of a naked female walking around a residence. On arrival at the location a clothed woman exited the house and began to complain about the male in the house being drunk. Deputies met with the man, identified as Lloyd Milbourne who stated the female had assaulted him and that he wanted her to leave and she wouldn’t. The male had a swollen lip and was covered in a red liquid which he explained the female had spilled on him.

 

The female was asked to leave the residence and refused, began to yell obscenities and then fell in the front yard. She was placed under arrest and assisted in walking to the patrol car. She was then transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. At the Sheriff’s Office she refused to exit the patrol car and kicked a deputy in the stomach and continued yelling obscenities.

NARRATIVE: Responding to assist on another call, Cpl. Hampton saw a black BMW with a non-working taillight and was drifting within the travel lane. The BMW was stopped and the driver identified as Gene McKenzie by a Florida driver’s License. The driver had a strong odor of alcohol and advised he had not been drinking, however there was a large open beer can in the console. Additional indicators were present including slurred speech, poor balance and glassy eyes. Mr. McKenzie was issued citations and released at the scene to two sober individuals who also removed the vehicle.

The items had an estimated value of $690. Victim advised he had left his house unlocked so a neighbor could feed his dogs. Case remains under investigation.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that he was missing a money bag from his residence that contained $2600 in cash. The last time he saw the bag was the day before when he was paying a female who had helped him stain his fence. The burglary is believed to have occurred sometime on the 10th when he and his wife had left the residence for several hours.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to location for a report of a 1998 Toyota 4 door passenger car into a tree. On arrival deputies located three subjects near the car without any serious injuries, one of which was identified as the driver. Kyonte Vincent advised he had been at a wedding reception but not been drinking, however had glassy bloodshot eyes and trouble standing unsupported. Numerous beer bottles were observed in the interior of the car. After several field sobriety tests he was placed under arrest for DWI.

NARRATIVE: Victim advised he and his wife had been eating at the Crab Deck the day before. Later that evening he began to get several texts from Verizon about upgrading service. At that time he realized his wife’s white I-Phone 5 was missing. The phone had a pink cover and was valued at $750. Victim had services shut off.

NARRATIVE: After dropping a child off at the mother’s residence, the suspect advised he had stayed there overnight. The following morning a post on instagram concerned him and he reported it to the Sheriff’s Office. A check of records indicated there was an active protection order prohibiting any contact other than to facilitate the exchange of the child. Suspect was placed under arrest.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that a male subject had been arrested the previous night for domestic assault and violation of a protection order and that the protection order was still in effect. After being released from those charges, the victim reported that the suspect was seen parked in her driveway. Attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful and charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: The complainant reported arriving at the church and finding the door had been broken enough to gain entry to the building. It was also determined that $30 of food was missing as well. Investigation was aided by several person reporting two boys being seen about town the previous night and upon being interviewed both confessed. Damages were estimated at $1000.

NARRATIVE: Security at the Emergency Room in Grasonville reported that a female had been discharged from the ER and the she walked around the side of the building sat down and rolled a “joint”. When confronted, she handed over the baggie to the officer. Upon arrival of the deputy, the woman was identified and a suspected roach was confiscated along with the baggie. She was released at the scene pending lab results.

NARRATIVE: Deputy patrolling in area saw a gold Honda Van parked next to an antiques store. The deputy had been in the area the night before due to an alarm call and had not seen the van there before. Upon checking the van, he found a male asleep in the rear seat. Contact was made and the man advised following an argument with his wife he had left the house and was sleeping in the van. While asking for the man’s ID, a pill bottle with suspected marijuana was seen in plain view. Further search resulted in the seizure of a grinder and a second pill bottle with suspected marijuana residue. Items were seized and will be sent to the lab for testing. Charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: Deputies called to the residence for a reported burglary in progress. On arrival they were advised that the suspect had broken a window and saw several persons outside their homes. Victoria Simpson was contacted on the front porch of the residence and stated she was attempting to get into the residence to retrieve her belongings.

 

The victim was then contacted and stated that Simpson was a family member and had been allowed to stay at the residence the two previous nights but was suspected of using drugs in the bathroom. When told to leave, she did and her belongings placed outside. Upon returning, she began to strike a sliding glass door valued at $400 with a pipe until it broke.

 

Upon being placed under arrest, a search of her pocket book type bag resulted in the seizure of suspected Morphine, Xanax, Diazepam and oxycodone pills, liquid methadone in a mini vodka bottle, a metal spoon with CDS residue and syringes.

 

After processing at Sheriff’s Headquarters, a District Court Commissioner held Simpson on a $1500 bond.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE:

 

Incident: Assault

Date / Time: 06/16/2013 @ 1905 Hours

Location: 428 Kent Narrows Road, Grasonville

Victim: Ray A. Plasterer of Phenix City Alabama

Kelly Mattes of Alexandria, VA.

 

Narrative: Sheriff’s Office responded to Red Eyes Dock Bar for an assault. On arrival they located a male subject lying in the parking lot with what appeared to be a broken leg along with several cuts and abrasions. Victim stated a large fight had broken out inside the bar and that his girlfriend had been hit and knocked to the floor. He then got her out of the bar and to their car when he was jumped by several unknown white males who kicked and stomped him while on the ground.

 

Several subjects believed to have been involved in the fight had been detained by off duty troopers. All of the subjects denied being involved in the fight. Subjects were identified and photographed before being released.

 

Red Eye Security stated a fight had broken out inside the bar involving 20-30 persons and they had closed the bar and attempted to get everyone out. They were unable to advise what occurred in the parking lot.

 

Plasterer was taken by ambulance to QA Emergency Center by ambulance. Due to the severity of his injuries he was then taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

UPDATE:

 

Follow-up investigation into the incident has resulted in five men being charged with assault & reckless endangerment. After the incident occurred several witnesses advised that the suspects were part of a birthday party celebration and were from Delaware. An anonymous tip was also received with a possible suspect name.

 

Further investigation, Deputy Steve Matthews has been able to identify five of the suspects in the group to date and applied for criminal charges. Arrest Warrants have been issued on July 31st for :

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the parking lot of McDonald for a reported fight. On arrival they learned that a female driving a Jeep had driven onto the sidewalk attempting to strike a male who had exited the vehicle. Both parties were still at the location. Manas was in the Jeep and stated they had been fighting while returning from the beach. She stated he had struck her on the leg and tore her shorts. When he jumped out of the Jeep he had taken her cell phone and she tried to run over him.

 

Victim Morrison stated while in the parking lot, Manas had bit him on the arm so he jumped out and ran inside the McDonalds asking the manager to call the police.

 

Serena Manas was placed under arrest and transported from the scene to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. After being charged with Assault she was seen by a District Court Commissioner who placed her on a $20,000 bail.

NARRATIVE: The president of the fire company reported that a former member had been issued a Motorola pager, charger and a winter parka while he was a member. Upon learning that he had operated a fire company vehicle while his license was suspended due to Child Support his membership had been terminated. Despite acknowledging his termination, he had failed to return the items valued at over $1000.

 

Deputies went to the subjects last known residence and learned he had moved several weeks before to an unknown location. Charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: Sgt. Johnson went to Broad Street make service on a Violation of Probation warrant for Michelle Barrett. He located her in the rear yard and at that time she wanted to use the bathroom before leaving. Sgt. Johnston instead transported her to MSP Barrack S. During the ride, Ms. Barrett was observed making a lot of movements in the car. At the barrack she was searched as well as the patrol car and no CDS was located. After processing at the Sheriff’s Office, she was taken to the Detention Center as her warrant was a No Bond. At the Detention Center a thorough search resulted in the seizure of two small baggies with suspected heroin. Additional charges were filed for possession.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to Mears Point Marina after a report of a male exposing himself and masturbating in the men’s restroom. Security at the location were able to identify the suspect and that he was on a boat at the marina. Another person at the location stated that the suspect had been in trouble in NJ.

 

Mr. Cheston was located and questioned about the incident. He admitted to being in the area but stated he had no idea why deputies were there. He also stated he had a court case on Tuesday in New Jersey for a similar incident but in front of children.

 

Security at the location maintain a watch of the suspect, while charges were applied for. An arrest warrant was issued for Indecent Exposure and Cheston was taken into custody. After processing, a District Court Commissioner held him on a $40,000 Bond which was posted by a Bail Bondsman.

It was reported that an argument had started over a text message and employment. When Ms. Solloway went to leave, Mr. Carr attempted to remove the keys. At that time both subjects began to assault each other. Both had minor injuries on their arms and as a result both were placed under arrest.

 

During the questioning, it was learned that the reported gun was under a bed. When searching for it, a spoon with Suspected CDS residue was located.

 

Both subjects were taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. At an initial appearance both subjects were placed on a $3000 bond each.

NARRATIVE: 2012 Mazda was observed stopped on the road with no lights on. Deputy pulled behind the car and made contact with the driver. When the window was lower the smell of marijuana became strong and there was a haze of smoke inside. The driver was identified as Sean M. Kirkpatrick who stated the smell was from his electronic cigarette. A search of the car resulted in the seizure of a glass smoking device and a bottle with suspected marijuana residue.

 

Kirkpatrick was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing and later released on his signature.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were requested at the QA Emergency Center for a male reporting being assaulted with a pair of pliers by a female. It was learned that the incident occurred in Denton and the victim knew his attacker. The victim, Khiry Malik had several small puncture wounds on his arm and shoulder.

 

While taking the report, it was learned that Malik had an active warrant in Prince Georges County for Disorderly Conduct. Malik was placed under arrest on that warrant and taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. A District Court Commissioner placed him on a $3000 bond.

 

Denton Police were advised of the incident for follow-up as the incident occurred in their jurisdiction.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of the Jetty for a reported assault. On arrival, a male identified as William Berardi reported as he was leaving the Jetty a group was following him. Berardi stated he identified himself as an off-duty police officer and that’s when an African American male came up behind him and assault him causing injuries to his face. A witness pointed out the suspect and he was placed under arrest.

 

Additional units arrived to assist and attempted to get the crowd to leave or return to the establishment. As they did, a female, later identified as Kathleen Berardi began to call unidentified male names and ran towards the man. When Dfc. Kellogg attempted to intervene, Berardi pushed and scratched Kellogg. At that time Berardi was placed under arrest.

 

Both subjects were transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for Processing and charging documents. Lenoir was later released by a District Court Commissioner. Berardi was also released after posting a $3000 cash bond.

All items were seized and entered into evidence pending shipping to the lab. An 18 year-old male from Stevensville and an 18 year old male from Chester were released at the scene pending charges. A 17 year old from Stevensville was released at the landing to a parent.

NARRATIVE: Deputies dispatched to location for a fight in progress. On arrival they located John Lawson in his underwear and bleeding from cuts to his lower back to his calf’s. EMS was requested due to the injuries. Thru statements it was learned that Lawson and another subject had an argument inside the residence and Lawson was thrown onto a glass coffee table causing the cuts. The suspect then fled the residence. After police left, the suspect returned and threatened the residents again and destroyed a portion of the fence around the home. He then fled the scene in a green car. Attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful and the investigation remains open at this time.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to location for a report of a motor vehicle collision. On arrival they located a Ford Station Wagon sitting on top on a Delmarva Power box. The driver, Corey Martino stated he had swerved to avoid a deer, went off the roadway and ended on the power box.

 

Martino had an odor of alcohol on his breath along with additional indicators and was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks. After the attempts, he was placed under arrest for DWI. After charging documents were completed he was released to a sober friend. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were called to the location for two subject arguing. On arrival it was learned that Mr. Fitzgerald was meeting his ex-wife at the shopping center to exchange a child in common. During that time the two began to argument and got very close to each other. When the ex-wife went to push Mr. Fitzgerald back her hand went to his face and he bit her finger.

 

There was no visible injuries to either and they did not want any charges. Both were advised on procedures for charges and peace orders.

NARRATIVE: Units were dispatched to the Jetty for a report of an assault involving a gun. Prior to arrival it was reported that the subject with the gun had fled in a car driven by a female with two children in a white Nissan Maxima. The car was spotted by MSP troopers going east on RT 50 and a felony stop was made with Sheriff’s Deputies assisting. The car was driven by a female with two small children in the back. It was determined that the male passenger in the car had been involved in the incident.

 

One of the troopers advised he had seen an object thrown from the car into the bushes along RT 18. Units returned to that location and located a Walther PC99 CO2 pistol.

 

Deputies then met with the complainant and learned that he had met with Lamaster in the parking lot who was attempting to get a paycheck. When Lamaster brandished the air pistol, the victim threw him on the hood of a car and attempted to get to safety while Lamaster fled in the car.

 

Lamaster was charged with 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Endangerment and littering. After processing he was held on a $10,000 bond at the QA Detention Center.

INCIDENT: Attempted Burglary / MDOP

VICTIM: John Sturgill of Church Hill

 

NARRATIVE: Victim reported someone ran his doorbell around 3 AM, however when he checked no one was there. A short time later he heard a thumping noise and then glass breaking. Checking out the sound, he located a basement window had been broken out, but it appeared that no entry was made. It’s possible the intruder changed his mind when he realized the resident has a large python in that area.

 

Damages were estimated at under $500.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the Shore Stop gas station to check the welfare of a person asleep in his vehicle at the gas pumps. On arrival they located a male in the driver’s seat of a black Chevrolet. Once the subject was awaken, deputies noticed an odor of alcohol on the male’s breath. When asked where he was, the driver stated Washington DC on the 10 floor. When asked for his driver’s license, the male attempted to hand the deputy a $20 bill. Once a driver’s license was located, he was identified as Nicky Dale Lamaster.

 

Several field sobriety task were attempted and Lamaster was placed under arrest for DWI. After processing and a breath test, Lamaster was released to a family member.

NARRATIVE: Maintenance personnel reported finding a rear door to an apartment kicked in overnight. The apartment was now vacant as the previous residents had recently been evicted. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.

NARRATIVE: Store Manager and Loos Prevention Associate reported after a cash drawer was $150 short on Saturday, they had reviewed the security footage which showed a female employee taking cash and concealing it in the trash can below the register. A short time later she dumped the trash. When interviewed, the store employee admitted to taking the cash as well as $40 from a co-worker and a credit card from another co-worker.

 

Officials from the store requested charges on the female who is (17). The two co-workers declined to press charges. The girl was referred to Juvenile Services for theft.

NARRATIVE: Restaurant Manage reported an employee had recently lost a family member and the other employees had started a collection for her which was being kept in a secure location. About a week prior to the report, the cash estimated at about $400 was missing. The manager attempted to keep the theft in-house and had hoped someone would come forward. When no one did , the Sheriff’s Office was called. At this time the investigation remains open.

NARRATIVE: Sheriff’s Units were dispatched to the residence and were met outside by the victim. She reported the she and her boyfriend were drinking heavily at the residence the previous night and an argument had occurred which turned physical. Ms. Hill had numerous visible bruises on her arms and legs. They went inside the residence and could see several broken pieces of furniture. Mr. Chambers stated after Ms. Hill had broken his windshield the argument did indeed turn physical.

 

Mr. Chambers was placed under arrest for domestic assault. While in the house a smell of burnt marijuana was noticed and several suspected items were seized. Those items were sent to the lab for testing and additional charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: A Honda passenger car was stopped for a minor traffic infraction on Dominion Road. The driver was identified as Kellie Graham and she stated she didn’t have her license with her. A check showed she was suspended in Maryland. Ms. Graham had a slight odor of alcohol on her breath along with other indicators. She was asked to attempt field sobriety tasks. She was placed under arrest for Driving while impaired and in violation of an alcohol restriction. She was issued citations and later released to a sober friend.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported hearing noises during the night outside his residence around 0245 hours and found nothing upon checking outside. In the daylight that morning he noticed his garage doors and front door were damaged with indentations. A check of the area resulted in finding a neighbor’s mailbox had been destroyed and a mirror on a work truck also damaged. Several additional mailboxes in the immediate area were also found to be damaged.

 

Damages were estimated at $1200.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported an argument that his son was having with a sibling over a skateboard. When told to calm down and go into the house, the son forced the door open breaking the door frame. Upon learning the police had been called the son left the house. Damages were estimated at $400. A search of the area failed to located the son.

 

The victim refused to press charges and only wanted the incident documented as his son is expected to be leaving for college.

ARREST: Marcia Lynette Bozarth (37) of Millington, MD

CHARGE: Burglary (8 Counts) & Theft (4 Counts)

 

NARRATIVE: Victim reported missing numerous items from his residence including a flat screen TV, Bose speakers, a Yamaha 5 disc player and fishing rods. Victim also reported that an exterminator had been to the house and advised that there were two cleaning ladies at the house who let him in. Victim advised that he had not arranged for any cleaning to be done and that the last time several months ago he had used Marcia Bozarth who knew where the keys were but not the alarm code.

 

Checking with a local pawn shop in Chestertown, it was learned that Marcia Bozarth had pawned the items on July 10th accompanied by a second female.

 

On July 16th Bozarth was arrested and charged with burglary and theft. Further investigation indicated she had taken items from the house on two previous occasions in the past month such as a telescope, Karaoke machine and jewelry. Some of these items were also recovered.

 

Bozarth identified the other female and advised she had told the woman that the items had been given to her by the victim. Bozarth stated she needed groceries and gas. The second woman has not been charged. Bozarth was processed and then later released on her own recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to location for a brother and sister domestic. After separating the two, it was learned that an argument over the care of a dog has escalated until Hickman struck Messick on the forehead with a frying pan. Messick then allegedly threw Hickman to the floor and started to smack her face with his hand.

 

Both subjects were arrested and charged with assault. Hickman was later released by a District Court Commissioner on her own recognizance. After seeking medical attention, Messick went before a District Court Commissioner and was held on a $3000 bail which was posted the next day.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to area for a reported loud bang in the callers driveway. On arrival they located a 2003 VW Golf into a tree. The driver was identified as Rebecca Shiring who was unsteady on her feet, upset and crying. An odor of alcohol was present and Shiring admitted to having some beers. After refusing medical treatment was transported to a nearby location due to the weather for field sobriety tasks. After her attempts, she was charged with DWI and later released on her signature.

NARRATIVE: Deputy Hartmetz was in the Truslow Road / RT 213 area and observed a 2002 green Pontiac Sunfire being driven by Cynthia Simpkins. Hartmetz was familiar with the car and driver as he had stopped her twice before in the past month for being suspended. Simpkins was placed under arrest and processed at the Sheriff’s Headquarters. She was held on a $7500 bond and detained at the QA Detention Center.

ARREST: Kim Frenecia Brooks (51) of Salisbury MD.

CHARGE: Theft

 

NARRATIVE: Employees of the Sunglass Hut reported an African American female had stolen a pair of sunglasses from the store and had left the shopping center in a silver Dodge Durango driven by an African American male. The Durango was reported to be heading west onto RT 50. Dfc. Goodman was at the RT Chester River Road area and waited for the vehicle stopping it just after crossing the Kent Narrows Bridge. The female passenger met the description given by Sunglass Hut employees. The female denied being at the store and then stated she had tried to return a pair she had purchased in Salisbury. The glasses the suspect showed did not match the stolen pair taken in Queenstown Versace brand valued at $190 and still had the inventory tag. Further questioning resulted in locating a second pair of sunglasses, Bvlgari brand priced at $390. In addition a bag of clothes stolen from the Bass Store were also recovered. A check with the Sunglass Hut in Salisbury indicated they had been stolen there.

 

In total $1257.00 of stolen items were recovered. It was also learned that Brooks had an active warrant from Salisbury Police for CDS Violations and Theft.

 

Brooks was taken into custody and transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. She was held on a $5000 bail in Queen Anne’s and a $15,000 on Wicomico Charges. She posted bail the following day.

NARRATIVE: Employees observed a female had attempted to steal a dress valued at $1195. When she realized they had been watching her, she left the dress and ran from the store. She was pursed by security but they lost her. However Security did recovered plastic bag lined with duct tape that the shoplifter had tossed. A search of the area failed to locate the female.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were called to the area for a neighbor dispute. Residents of a house there had a flooded basement and were pumping water which was running onto a neighbor’s property. When asked to connect hose to have it run into the ditch an argument started with the four residents arguing, during which one female reportedly spit in the others face. All parties were separated and advised how to seek charges / peace orders.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were called to a residence after a father had arrived at the residence demanding that his 17 year old child come home immediately. According to the complainant, the child had been staying there for about 6 months. It was reported that the father had struck the cell phone out of the child’s hand.

 

Deputies went to the father’s residence and checked on the child who advised all was fine.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the Duck Neck Campground for a suicidal subject who had texted a friend saying she was going to harm herself. The woman, a Middle East Veteran was found after taking pills with alcohol and slashed wrists. She was transported to Chester River Medical Center for treatment.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were called to assist EMS for a possible overdose. On arrival they learned that the parents found their son on the bedroom floor unresponsive and started CPR. An EMT arrived and was able to get a pulse. EMS administered medication and the victim became uncooperative and was able to walk around. He was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

NARRATIVE: A neighbor heard a loud smash of broken glass at a house next door. Knowing the residents were away, she called the Sheriff’s Office. When they checked the residence, they found a rear window screen pulled off the window and the window broken. The neighbor responded with a key and deputies checked the house finding no intruder. The house appeared to be in order except for the window. An attempted K9 track was made without locating a suspect. The resident arrived home later in the day and determined nothing to be missing. The damage to the window was estimated at $300.

INCIDENT: Fireworks

LOCATION: 400 Block of Watson Road, Centreville

 

ARREST: Pending

 

NARRATIVE: Sgt. Johnston was patrolling near Centreville when he observed several large displays of fireworks. He proceeded to the Watson Road area and as driving thru, another large fireworks went off. Sgt. Johnston went behind the residence and located two males with several motor launch tubes and spent and unfired fireworks. The items were seized with the Fire Marshall being contacted. Charges are pending.

LOCATION: Double Creek Road, Chestertown, QA County

 

ARREST: Emanuel Christopher Zeigler (23) of Halethorpe, MD

Katie Lynn Colvin (23) of Halethorpe, MD

CHARGE: Possession of CDS (Marijuana)

 

NARRATIVE: A Chevrolet pickup was seen running a stop sign at the intersection of Double Creek Road and Shoveler Street. The truck was stopped and an odor of marijuana was present. The driver, Emanuel Zeigler advised his wallet with his driver’s license was on his boat and there was a grinder in the truck as they were smoking “weed” earlier.

Ziegler and his passenger, Katie Colvin were asked to step from the truck. When a search was begun of the truck for the grinder, Colvin reached under her dress and retrieved a grinder from her crotch area. Further search of the truck resulted in the seizure of a baggie with suspected marijuana.

 

Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. Ms. Colvin was searched by a female deputy which resulted in the seizure of a suspected marijuana cigarette from her crotch area. Both subjects were charged with possession of CDS and Ms. Colvin also was charged with paraphernalia possession.

 

A District Court Commissioner later released both of them on their personal recognizance.

NARRATIVE: A beige 4 door KIA was stopped for a minor traffic infraction. Contact with the driver identified him as Matthew Mink. There was a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the interior of the car along with several other indicators of a possible impaired driver. Attempts were made to complete field sobriety tasks and Mink was then placed under arrest for DWI. Both Mink and his passenger were transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters so that Mink could be processed. He was later released to the passenger’s sober son.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to the residence after a 911 call with screaming in the background. Assisted by MdTA Police, the two persons arguing were separated. Mr. Best advised an argument with his wife had begun over how he was cooking ribs. During the argument she grabbed him and pushed him. Mr. Best stated things had gotten out of hand and that he had slapped her on the side of her head. Mr. Best had minor injuries to his left forearm.

 

Mrs. Best was uncooperative and refused to state what had occurred. There was some damaged furniture in the living room where the argument allegedly occurred.

 

Both subjects were placed under arrest for assault. They were transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing and charging documents. They were later released by a District Court Commissioner.

NARRATIVE: A BOLO was issued for a tan Chevrolet SUV being involved in a theft from the WaWa near the Bay Bridge in Anne Arundel County. Deputy Neall had just observed a tan Chevrolet tracker drive past and attempted to locate the vehicle. The vehicle had left RT 50 and gone onto RT 18. The Tracker was located going back onto RT 50 after passing over the Kent Narrows. The tracker had sped up and was about to leave RT 50 again when it was stopped. Driver was identified as Lindsey Miles and upon exiting her vehicle became combative with the deputy and a trooper.

 

Once in custody, a search of the vehicle and belongings of Ms. Miles resulted in the seizure of suspected heroin, marijuana and paraphernalia including a syringe. She was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. After being charged, she was later released on her own recognizance by the on-duty District Court Commissioner.

 

According to Maryland Judiciary Case Search she was also charged on a Criminal Summons for Theft in Anne Arundel.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that during a home renovation she has discovered numerous pieces of jewelry to be missing. The theft(s) are believed to have occurred sometime between November 2012 and June 31st, 2013. Numerous rings and earrings with a value of nearly $6000 are missing. Victim advised that carpenters, plumbers, electricians, carpet installers and movers have been in and out of the residence. In addition several cleaning services.

Deputies searched the area without locating him. There was a window screen that was found damaged. The daughter was granted a temporary Peace Order by the Court following this incident. NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the residence following a 911 call for an assault. On arrival deputies interviewed the subjects and learned that police had been there the night before and one female (27) had agreed to leave for the night. Upon returning today another argument had started in the house. Two subjects, [male (21) and female (21)] went to the rear yard to end the argument. The other female followed and there was some reported pushing to have occurred, during which a 6 year old child was knocked over.

 

None of the parties wanted charges at that time. They were advised on the process to seek charges and peace orders. The female (27) agreed to leave the residence again.

CHARGE: Possession of CDS (Marijuana) with Intent to Distribute

 

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to the Eastern Shore Baptist Church for a possible burglary. On arrival an African American male was seen in the church and exited thru a window where he was taken into custody. A search of his person resulted in the seizure of six plastic baggies of suspected marijuana. The man was identified as Wade Felton.

 

The pastor of the church was contacted to advise of the situation and he stated he was aware of Felton staying in the church and did not want to pursue burglary charges.

 

Felton was held on $7500 bond for the CDS charges and detained at the QA Detention Center.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to several 911 calls reporting a domestic in progress. On arrival, Jordan Chase exited the house and stated “Take Me”. Contact with the residents revealed that Jordan Chase had gotten into an argument with his wife, grabbed her by the hair and threw her into a wall. Strands of her hair was on the floor and she was complaining of neck pain. It was also learned that Jordan Chase had an active protection order from Prince Georges County ordering him to stay away from Kimberly Chase.

 

Kimberly Chase was transported by ambulance to QA Emergency Room for treatment. Jordan Chase was taken into custody for assault and Violation of a protection order. It was also reported by Ms. Chase’s father Charles Thomas that Jordan Chase had destroyed an door at the house valued at $100 and was also charged with MDOP.

NARRATIVE: Following a noise complaint of subjects being loud at the Love Point Park

Near midnight, deputies responded and located several persons in possession of alcoholic beverages at that location. Among those detained three were found to be underage and a 23 year old male advised he had supplied the alcohol. A cooler contained beer, vodka, rum, Amaretto and Jagermeister. Citations were issued to the underage persons and to the male who supplied the alcohol. All subjects were then released to sober drivers.

Subjects were removed from the beach and charges are pending lab results.

LOCATION: RT 50 @ Nesbit Road, Queenstown

 

ARREST: Jose Martinez Guardado (22) of Columbia, MD

NARRATIVE: A detective was working on an assignment and observed a 4 door Honda passenger vehicle drifting across several lanes of RT 50. The Honda was also seen to be straddling the lane lines and driving on the shoulder of the highway. The Honda was stopped and the traffic stop was turned over to an uniformed deputy. The driver was identified as Jose Guardado by his MD Learner’s permit.

 

Detecting an odor of alcohol, the driver was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks following which he was placed under arrest for DWI. He was issued citations and released at the scene to a sober individual.

NARRATIVE: Deputy operating radar on Bay City Road stopped a blue Volvo for excessive speed in a 25 MPH Zone. Driver was identified as Laura Remines who advised she was suspended. A check also indicated that the Volvo was unregistered as well. Records also indicated she had been stopped as recent as March for similar violations. She was taken into custody and transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. Her ex-husband who resided nearby responded to the traffic stop location and took custody of a small child and the vehicle.

 

A District Court Commissioner placed Remines on a $5000 which was posted and she was released.

On arrival it was learned that the female had made statements about harming herself and that she may have taken some unknown pills in addition to the vodka. NARRATIVE: Victim reported placing her sister’s belongings out in the driveway for her to pick up. The sister arrived with another female friend. Victim reported exited her residence and telling her sister’s friend to leave her property. The friend then allegedly spit in her face and hit her arm with a closed fist. The sister intervened and separated the two.

 

The deputy was unable to see any signs of injury and advised the victim how to apply for charges and / or a Peace Order.

NARRATIVE: Deputy responded to the area for a reported car in a ditch. On arrival a gray Hyundai Accent was located in a ditch and sitting on top of a mailbox from 326 Dulin Clark Road. The deputy checked the vehicle, finding the car locked and with a smoking device and grinder in plain view. The owner returned to the location and stated he had run off the road around 0300 and that the items in the car were his. The items were seized to be sent to the lab for testing. The car was towed from the ditch, arrangements were made to pay for damages to the mailbox and charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: Deputy was dispatched to location for a report of a vehicle on the side of the road with its door open. On arrival Deputy Neall located a purple Dodge Intrepid partially in a cornfield with the window smashed. There was a female asleep in the rear seat with an odor of alcohol upon her person. When asked how the car got there, the female only stated OK. A male arrived and stated that the female was his girlfriend and he had argued with the female who then had left his location in the car.

 

The female was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks. As she attempted to tasks, she became argumentative and told the deputy to arrest her. After being placed in the patrol car it was also learned that she was suspended in Maryland. After being processed at Sheriff’s Headquarters, Ms. Sagar was held on a $5000 bail at the QA Detention Center.

NARRATIVE: It was reported that several subjects were observed on the roof on Kent Island High School. On arrival, a silver passenger car was located parked on school grounds with two male occupants. The two males admitted to being on the roof of the school “just checking things out”. The initial report stated there were three subjects exiting the car and climbing onto the roof, but only two were seen returning to the car. The two youths were turned over to parents at the scene and advised they were being referred to Juvenile Services. A search of the school failed to locate a third individual or any obvious damage.

NARRATIVE: A white Jeep was observed on Dominion Road crossing the center line and the shoulder line. The Jeep was stopped near Newtown Road with the driver being identified as Gregory Salisbury of Chester. The Deputy could detect an odor of alcohol on Mr. Salisbury’s breath and he was asked to step from the vehicle. Mr. Salisbury attempted field sobriety tasks and was placed under arrest for DWI. After receiving citations and related paperwork for DWI he was released at the scene to a sober adult.

NARRATIVE: Mr. Turnbell reported he was staying at a residence on Church Street and when he went to lay down, a female there had hit him in the mouth , eye and jaw. He also stated the female would have a swollen wrist from striking him. The female was contacted who stated she had been in a verbal confrontation with the subject and had thrown him out but never got physical with him. The female did have a swollen wrist but stated it was from a fight in Elkton a week or so ago. A third party at the residence stated there was no assault that evening. Both parties were advised how to seek charges if desired.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that on 6/7 she had been at the restaurant with her children and they had left a pink & white Nintendo 3DS there. Later in the week the children told their parent that they were unable to locate their game. She contacted the business and spoke with the manager who had told her the game was there and had been placed in an office drawer. On today’s date, the victim stopped at the business to retrieve the game and was told the game is now missing. The game was valued at $220.

LOCATION: 12 Chester Plaza, Chester MD

ARREST: James Lee Williams (25) of Stevensville

CHARGE: Assault

 

NARRATIVE: Several Deputies responded to the McDonalds in Chester for a fight inside the restaurant. On arrival the victim had obvious injuries to his left eye, forehead and ear. The victim and friends advised they were in line waiting for their food, when a male wearing a tie-dyed shirt wanted some of the victim’s fries. Words were exchanged and the victim and friends walked away over to the dining area. The male in the tie dyed shirt followed called the victim several names and made a comment about having relations with his girlfriend. The male then shoulder bumped and punched the victim in his face. The altercation continued onto the floor with a friend of the suspect attempting to break the fight up. During the altercation, an unknown pregnant woman was shoved and her husband? shoved another one of the victim’s friends to the floor. The man and woman then left prior to arrival of police.

 

The suspect and two friends were located in a car in the parking lot and the Tie-dyed male was identified as James Lee Williams of Stevensville. Williams advised that the victim swung first.

At that time, store video was not available to be reviewed. Medical personnel were requested to check the victim and his mother contacted as he was a juvenile. His mother responded to removed him from the location. All others were released at that time pending review of the security footage.

On July 3rd, Dfc. Goodman was able to review the security footage which verified some of the victim and his friends statements. Charges were filed on James Lee Williams for assault and reckless endangerment. The warrant was served on July 5th and Williams was held until posting a $5000 bond.

NARRATIVE: Deputy Hartmetz was patrolling in the area and saw a 2002 Pontiac going north on RT 213 and recognized the car and driver. The driver, Cynthia Simpkins was known to be suspended and this was the third time in 2 weeks she has been stopped. The Pontiac was stopped and she was taken into custody. After processing at Sheriff’s Headquarters she was issued citations and later released by a District Court Commissioner on her own recognizance.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported she had been on vacation and had left the house in relative’s care with instruction no one else was to be in the house. A neighbor had then called her advising that the relative had several friends over to the house. Upon returning, the victim stated she found her jewelry scattered about the house with additional pieces missing or broken. Investigation remains open at this time and no dollar figure has yet been determined.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported he had discovered someone had taken numerous tools from his locked shed located on his property. Tools included wrenches, sockets, electric hand tools and air powered tools. Estimated value of the tools was placed at over $5000.

 

Later the same day, victim reported his wife had discovered some of her jewelry missing from the residence. No forced entry was made to the shed or the residence. Investigation remains open.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported his wooden sign had been taken off of its posts and thrown into a wooded area causing damage to the sign. Victim advised that the sign has been the center of a dispute for years with a neighbor. The sign was valued at $150.

INCIDENT: Theft

DATE / TIME: 07/04/2013 @ 1432 Hours

LOCATION: 431 Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown

VICTIM: Sunglass Hut

ARREST: Amos Lewis (38) of Oxen Hill, MD

Ronald Maurice Humphries (34) of Washington DC

CHARGE: See Narrative

 

NARRATIVE: Store manager at Sunglass Hut reported four pairs of sunglasses were stolen from the store. Two of the suspects were being followed by Outlet security and were in another store at that time. The two subjects were stopped and identified with both denying any involvement with the theft. No sunglasses were in their possession.

 

A third suspect was then located and was fleeing on foot from the shopping center. He was stopped and stated he didn’t take any sunglasses. He was identified as Ronald Humphries and was wanted on two warrants from Montgomery and Charles counties for failure to pay a fine and theft. Humphries was taken into custody and later stated he took the sunglasses and threw them away while being chased.

 

The store security video was reviewed and it showed Humphries and one of the other subjects taking three pairs of Ray Bans and one pair of Versace sunglass. Amos Lewis was also placed under arrest.

 

Both subjects were transported to the Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. A District Court Commissioner placed Humphries on a $5000 bail for the theft charge and the Montgomery County warrant with the Charles County warrant being placed as a detainer. Lewis was released on his signature for the theft charge.

INCIDENT: Disturbance

DATE / TIME: 07/04/2013 @ 2130 Hours

LOCATION: 1008 Rolphs Wharf Road, Chestertown, QA County

 

ARREST: Jordan Edward Stitcher (21) of Chestertown

CHARGE: Disorderly Conduct, Disturbance of the Peace, Failure to Obey Lawful Order

 

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the Sand Bar on Rolphs Wharf Road for a disturbance. On arrival, Mr. Stitcher was observed in the parking lot yelling and cursing at patrons. He was asked to lower his voice and refrain from bothering patrons. A few moments later, Mr. Stitcher was yelling and cursing again wanting to fight someone while a friend was trying to get him a ride away from the location. When he refused to quiet down, he was placed under arrest and placed in a patrol car. On the way to Sheriff’s Headquarters, he began to cry, spit and beat his head on the Plexiglas partition. At Headquarters he was checked by medics for a bump on his head and refused treatment.

 

He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Disturbance of the Peace, and Failure to Obey Lawful Order. A District Court Commissioner later released him on his own recognizance.
