Rams Head Free Root Beer Float Day

Rams Head restaurants are pleased to announce the celebration of Rams Head’s Root Beer Float day on Sunday, October 3rd, 2010. In celebration, Rams Head will be offering our patrons a free Old Dominion root beer float with purchase of any food purchase.

At any Ram’s Head restaurant location from 10am-2am on Sunday, October 3rd the locally owned restaurants will be scooping out free Root Beer Floats, featuring Vanilla ice cream and Old Dominion root beer.

“A root beer float epitomizes carefree childhood days,” says Erin McNaboe, Vice President.  “As we bid adieu to summer, there is no better way to kick-off the fall season then with a savory root beer float.   This is a special day for the Rams Head family and we invite you to celebrate it with us.” says, Rams Head, Vice President, Erin McNaboe

Customers are also invited to participate in a Facebook contest to win a pair of tickets to a show of their choice at any Rams Head venue by uploading a photo enjoying the root beer float at Rams Head. The winner will be entered into the contest automatically and picked on October 4th, 2010.

Between the smooth, creamy vanilla ice cream and the frothy, delicious Old Dominion root beer, it’s difficult to imagine a person who doesn’t love root beer floats. According to Old Dominion’s website, Our Root Beer grew out of original authentic American recipes found at the Library of Congress. Dominion Root Beer has captured an old-fashioned taste that is full-bodied, rich tasting & aromatic.

Rams Head Restaurants Celebrate Scotch Ale Beer Release

The Rams Head Group is pleased to release Fordham Brewing Company’s, Scotch Ale, on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 from 4-6pm.

Scotch Ale will be tapped at 4pm. “Mark your calendars, and get here early. Scotch Ale is always one of our most popular releases.” says Rams Head Roadhouse General Manager, Michael Conroy.

Rams Head will have limited edition glasses for the beer release. The special glass for Scotch Ale will be available for $4 at 4pm on release day.  Patrons who purchase the glass also receive a fill-up of the Scotch Ale and $1 refills during the 4-6pm release party.

According to Walter Trifari, head brew master at Fordham Brewing Company, “This unique seasonal comes out just in time to warm your soul on those chilly fall nights.  We brewed this beer with a touch of Beechwood smoked malt for a smooth & subtle smokiness that we know you’ll enjoy all fall. This beer also pairs well with smoked meats, salmon & buttery cheeses such as Gouda and Brie.”

Rams Head Restaurants Celebrate Wisteria Wheat Beer Release

The Rams Head Group is pleased to release Fordham Brewing Company’s summer beer, Wisteria Wheat, on Thursday, July 1st, 2010 from 4-6pm.
Wisteria Wheat will be tapped at 4pm. “Wisteria Wheat is one of the most unique beers we brew. It’s got all the flavor and character of any true hefeweizen out there and it’s a perfect escape from this blazing hot weather. I can’t wait to sit out on the back patio at Rams Head and drink one amongst the actual Wisteria!” says Kyle Holtgren, Coastal Brewing Company, Graphic Designer.

We brewed this beer with select Pilsner malts, wheat and hallertauer hops that we know you’ll enjoy all summer long. This beer also pairs well with tangy cheeses, fresh salads, and grilled chicken.”

Rams Head Restaurants Celebrate Easter

The Rams Head restaurants will be celebrating Easter with brunch on Sunday, April 4th, 2010.

“The Easter Bunny may bring the chocolate eggs, but Rams Head is serving a unique Brunch for your family and friends” says Rams Head Tavern General Manager, Mark Colberg.
Rams Head restaurants are serving a special brunch menu along with the regular brunch menu meals to help households take the hassle out of spring holiday cooking. The Rams Head restaurants chefs came up with a unique Easter brunch dishes, making Easter celebrations simple, tasty and affordable.
Rams Head Tavern Annapolis and Rams Head Tavern Savage will both feature a local jazz band during brunch and a children’s Easter egg hunt starting at 12:30pm for children 10 and under.

Restaurant managers recommend the customers to make a reservation in advance by phone or in-person.

The Rams Head Group is pleased to release Old Dominion Brewing Company’s beer, Spring Buck, on Thursday, February 4th, 2010.Spring Buck will be tapped at 4pm.

“The wheat malt gives it the crispness of an early spring day, and we think you’ll find it every bit an enjoyable” says Kyle Holtgren of Coastal Brewing.

Rams Head Restaurants Support The Special Olympics of Maryland

On Tuesday, January 19, 2010 the Rams Head Restaurants will donate 10% of the patrons total dinner check to Special Olympics of Maryland.

Rams Head Management is asking patrons to bring the 10% coupon for the money to be donated towards the Special Olympics. Patrons can visit the Rams Head Tavern website , sign up on the email blast or visit a Rams Head Restaurant Facebook page to print the coupon.

The MSP Polar Bear Plunge benefits Special Olympics Maryland and the 10,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities who experience the life-changing benefits of participating in the organization’s year-round training and competition programs-all at no cost to themselves or their families.

On January 30, 2010, The Rams Head Group has committed to grin and “bear” it for the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) by taking a chilly dip into the Chesapeake Bay alongside 10,000+ other warm-hearted people. Rams Head has been getting involved on many levels as a sponsor – we hosted a fundraiser event for SOMD on 12/14 at Rams Head Live.  We are currently promoting Yellowtail sales within the facility (Yellowtail is giving a percentage of their sales to the plunge).  Plus this year, the plunge will feature the Rams Head Ice Lodge with live music, spirits to get your blood warmed.
