Comfort Keepers, Easton’s premier in-home care company, is pleased to announce our 2014 Senior Helping Seniors Scholarship winner! Comfort Keepers is thankful for the opportunity to give back to the community with this scholarship.
We were so excited to award this scholarship to a young woman who learned something beautiful about herself and about life. She shared with us an experience that will last for a lifetime. While volunteering at a nursing home in Easton she discovered the beauty of helping others, and realized, “people may assume that since I was the one volunteering and helping out at the nursing home, I was the one that made an impact on his life; it was really the opposite. I may have brightened his day by keeping him company or playing games with him or even just talking to him, but it was he who made the lasting impact on my life.”
This year’s recipient was Hope Knussman, a senior from Easton High School. Hope will be attending Youngstown State University in the fall. She is the daughter of Kevin and Kim Knussman of Easton.
We believe Hope Knussman captures what it truly means to be a Senior Helping a Senior.
We at Comfort Keepers wish her and all 2014 graduates’s the greatest success in their future endeavors.
