Honoring Our Spiritual Journey Through Song

This half-day Meditation Retreat is an oasis in the stress of our busy lives.

Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditation students, this meditation retreat includes guided meditation periods, silent sitting and walking meditation and short dharma talks.

When: Saturday, November 17 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Easton, 7401 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD

What: A half-day meditation retreat includes chanting and time for sharing and questions. This day of practice will include direction in mindfulness of the breath, body, emotions and thoughts as a way of reflecting on our call to the spiritual life and the challenges we have encountered along our way. The silent practice will be blended with chants of Hindu, Buddhist and Christian origin. Through the practice of insight meditation and reflection on our journey it is possible to come to a place of joy and freedom.

Teacher: Larissa Kitenko, founder of The Easton Meditation Group and a longtime practitioner of Insight Meditation will lead the meditation retreat. She has been teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) since 2005 and volunteers as an Associate Clinical Chaplain at Shore Health System. Kitenko has been teaching mindfulness meditation on the Eastern Shore for many years.

No Registration Fee; there will be an opportunity to make a donation towards the support of the practice of the teacher and also for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Easton.
