The Chesapeake Women’s Network (CWN) of Queen Anne’s County is hosting its first annual  “Flower Power Happy Hour” Fundraiser to benefit the organization’s scholarship fund.  This event is open to the public and geared towards women who would like to spend an evening with their friends creating a beautiful and stylish, fresh flower centerpiece just in time for Thanksgiving. Step-by-step and easy to follow directions will be given by the designers at The Flower Shop in Chester, MD.

“This fundraising event will be a great opportunity for our members and the public to come together and enjoy a ‘girl’s night out’ all while raising money for a much greater cause,” says Casey Palmer, Co-President of CWN. “Our organization brings together some of the most talented and professional women in the county and provides them with a platform to enhance their networks, build relationships and support each other, all while working towards a common goal of helping local women improve their situations and their financial futures through higher education,”.

The Flower Power Happy Hour will be held on November 20, 2014 at the VFW in Grasonville.  An admission fee of $45 reserves your centerpiece material, flowers, food, wine and other refreshments.  The doors will open at 6:30pm.  Advanced registration is required and can be done at www.chesapeakewomensnetwork.org
