ccparade2008SHOW YOUR CHARACTER! ALL QAC STUDENTS OF CHARACTER INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN KENT ISLAND DAYS PARADE

On Saturday, May 17th The Kent Island Heritage Society will once again open Kent Island Day’s with a parade starting at Kent Island Elementary. Participants will parade from the local elementary school to the main stage, which will be located on Main Street in Historic Stevensville, adjacent to Rustico Italian Restaurant.

Character Counts!, A participant in the parade, is inviting all Students of Character to participate in the parade and walk behind the Character Counts banner and alongside –The Six Pillars of Character; Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship!

Parade line up begins at Kent Island Elementary School at 9:30 am. Students should arrive between 9:30 – 10:00 am. The parade will begin promptly at 10:30 am.  Students should wear their orange anti-bullying t-shirts from last October’s countywide Unity Day or another brightly colored t-shirt. If students wish they may also bring a bag of candy to distribute to parade watchers along the route. Parents may walk alongside students or pick them up at the main stage where opening ceremonies and the day’s entertainment will take place.

Come show your Character! We look forward to seeing you all there! Feel free to contact Jacki Carter at 410-758-6677 or jcarter@qac.org if you have any questions.  QAC Character Counts! is a part of Community Partnerships for Children & Families, our Local Management Board.
