Library Program: Ukraine through the Ages … in Maps

Cathy-CooperLibrary Program: Ukraine through the Ages … in Maps

On Monday, May 19, at 6:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, geographer Cathy Cooper will give a talk on a part of the world currently dominating international news: Ukraine.  Borderland or heartland?  Periphery or core?  Scythians, Vikings, Mongols, Cossacks, Russians, and others … the historic influences on Ukraine have been many and varied.  Cooper shows how maps of different types can tell us a great deal about this ever-changing, ever-important part of our world.
