Calling All Film and Nature Enthusiasts!

The Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy is hosting its 3rd annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Easton on Friday, November 16, at 6:00 pm. Last year’s film festival was a full house, and tickets are selling fast again this year.

The festival will feature high-quality, inspiring and educational films, that aim to increase the groundswell of environmental interest and motivate people to go out and make a difference for our local rivers.

“There will be eight films in the line-up about real conservation issues, some local, some national, and some international,” said Natalie Costanzo, from the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy. “This year’s lineup includes a film by the granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau, Alexandra Cousteau, a local film about fish, and another movie about one Filipino man’s use of plastic soda bottles to create solar-powered lights.”

Liza Ledford from the Avalon Theatre says: “Hosting the Wild and Scenic Film Festival is always a great pleasure for the Avalon Theatre. As we get closer to the event there is a growing excitement and increase in ticket sales. People are really starting to mark their calendars each year for this night.”

The $50 ticket includes an open bar and food this year, as well as an opportunity to bid on over thirty silent auction items. For a sneak peek at these items visit the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy website: www.midshoreriverkeeper.org. Proceeds go to support the work of Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy in restoring and protecting our local rivers.
