Talbot Bank Celebrates Achievements and Community Service

TalbotBankEmployeeRally (400 x 300)Employees from all seven branches of The Talbot Bank, member of Shore Bancshares’ family of companies, attended a recent recognition and reward rally to laud the past year of professional achievements and volunteer service. Awards were presented and new service goals were set for 2013.

Several employees were recognized with “Years of Service Awards” for their dedicated service to The Talbot Bank and its customers. Brenda Wooden and Donna Parks celebrated 25 years of service. Nancy Bartlett was recognized for 30 years of service, and Suzanne Jefferson was commended for 45 years of service.

The Talbot Bank exceeded their 2012 community volunteer service goal of 6,000 hours by over 500 hours. At the gathering, they celebrated the bank’s commitment to improving the quality of living in the Talbot and Dorchester County communities that the bank serves. The volunteer efforts help employees gain new leadership skills as well as build teamwork and morale. “We are very proud of the generous efforts of our employees, who, by giving of their time, have demonstrated what Talbot Bank is all about,” said Pat Bilbrough, Talbot Bank President and CEO. “Our commitment to serving our communities is unwavering and Talbot Bank employees have proven they are ready to be a source of volunteer power for their communities.”

The 2013 goal for volunteer service hours has been set even higher than the 2012 level. As a kick-off to this year’s service efforts and to benefit local food pantries, employees from all bank branches competed to see which location could bring the most non-perishable food items to the rally. Altogether, 340 items were collected and have been distributed to food pantries throughout Talbot and Dorchester counties.
