Talbot Bank Supports Local Watermen

bank (400 x 300)The Talbot Bank, member of Shore Bancshares community of companies, proudly supported Talbot County Watermen’s Appreciation Day at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum on Sunday, August 11, 2013. Talbot Bank was a silver sponsor of the event and hosted a booth where employees distributed bank services information and educational materials to all attendees.

The purpose of Watermen’s Appreciation Day is to highlight the culture of the local watermen and demonstrate the community’s gratitude for their hard work. Those who attended enjoyed as many crabs as they could eat, along with hot dogs and hamburgers. Crowds of people at the event were entertained by boat docking contests, a silent auction, and observing nets being made by hand. “The Talbot Bank proudly supports and thanks the Talbot County Watermen for providing fresh, local seafood throughout Maryland and to surrounding areas,” said Parker Spurry, Talbot Bank St. Michaels Branch Manager.
